Does anyone actually have one?

I have two . Purely by accident, my housemate wanted one but had to get the 2 for £3 offer so I chipped in and then me mum sent me one (even though she's forgotten the last 2 years ). One Mars and one Cadburys :-D

EDIT: More interestingly, at what point did you grow out of them/just see it as a waste of money?

It's commercialized rubbish, a load of added expense, an excuse for my family to argue due to excessive alcohol consumption, nothing but crap on the box, an excuse for junk wrapped up in paper to be disguised as presents, added stress for my mother...I could go on but I don't wish to bore you :-D

The only good things about it: the roast dinner (which in truth could be held anytime of the year, more commonly every Sunday...) and the advent calendars

So anyway, bah humbug :smt040

There's a new addition (well I've only noticed it this year) to advent calendars now, tin foil wrapping! You open the little door and then have to rip through tin foil to get to the choc, just isn't the same! But then it does keep the chocolate fresh so not toooo bad

A mate brought a few of us Kinder advent calendars back from Strasbourg a couple of years back. I'm not exaggerrating, it was about two inches deep and behind every door was either a small kinder bar, a small bueno bar, or a kinder egg. Best advent calendar I have ever seen by a long way.
