So rather than hitting that lada with a little hammer and not dinting it..I wonder what it would do if you did it with a sledgehammer?

Once a Marine, always a Marine!

I wish it was, it would have been so much easier and drier!

The credit goes to 539 Assault Squadron of the Royal Marines based here alongside us in Poole, and to the Lynx Mk7 aircraft of 847 Naval Air Squadron based at RNAS Yeovilton.

Great to watch from the Rigid Raider by the way....

That bit with the Hammer was cobblers I`m afraid to say , I have one of those in my toolbox , it has a Copper face on one side and a Hide face on the other , for hitting things without leaving marks ........ he was hitting it with the hide end . And yes Wideboy , thanks for reminding me ..... but in reality I was on the phone to the Badgeress and suddenly thought "Offfffffffugginell I forgot to give the heads up on the Org" and hurtled up the stairs 3 at a time LOL

I thnk he was using a rubber mallet going on how it bounced;)

It did dent it though. Not badly but you could definitely see a dent.

xXBADGERXx
07-12-08, 09:43 PM
Nah Copper/hide faced , I recognised it the second it slid out of his jacket sleeve and was like "I got one of those" . The hide part is just a bit of old Leather rolled up basically and surprisingly bouncy when applied with not too much whammage and blammo (these are techincal words I may hasten to add......and Technical too :D)

Me and my dad have been greasing at the ruskians lol.

If they were female that's OK. If they were male, and you were greasing them up, then it's very very wrong. You should be ashamed!

PS. Haven't read the thread other than that, I've just crawled out of bed (night shift) so will watch iPlayer! ;)
