View Full Version : Oops just got another SP30 in the cage today!
`Oops` another SP30 in the cage today. Thats six in total now:mad:. Is that likely to whack the insurance up to a nasty level for the SV?
Does anybody know if I have to advise them now or wait until my renewal, I dont like to ride without complete confidence that I am covered. cheers.

dont know the right answer about the insurance, but i would have thought its the same kind of thing as moving, you should inform them as soon as the points go on your licenece?
however sucks at being caught out by the man again :( was it a scamera or a propper copper?

As soon as you know they should know, ie when you send your licence away to get the points put on it, not when you get it back with said points. If you have a claim in the interim they will not pay out or will reduce the pay out by a % (in your small print)
On of my friends only got a 80% payout as his address on policy said 17 #### street instead of 7, there is no 17 as only 10 houses so he always got the mail so didnt bother changing it.
I take it the 6 sp30's have been over a long.... period cause thats 18 points by my adding up:smt040
Scamera! pointing over the roof of a parked car, yes he was doing it in stealth mode. 44 in a 30 I was done. what can you do eh!
Sorry, its 2x SP30 making six points total.

Inform them now. I found 3 points made no difference in premium, but 6 did make a £20 difference.
my moto with insurance companies is never give the b*stards any way of wriggling out of paying out in the event of a claim.
Thanks YC, it was to ask about the insurance.
I will inform them right away.
Cheers.

???? what - my premium went up £100 - which meant i couldnt pay all in one go . which meant it went up another £100 .....
A rise of this amount £20 would be ok but £100 or more the bike may just have to go. Shame on me:-)
whens your other lost of 3 points due to drop off??
as if its soon then your insurance might not go up
Was I complaining? .....
I was aware you wasn't hence the ;) had I meant it seriously it would have been  but as others had already answered just trying to lighten the mood a little :)
