If you're doing it mid Jan, I woudlnt re-run the AR Route, some of those roads are going to be gravelly and horrible and you'll also need to check the range road where the tanks were will be open and it might not be.

If its mid Jan I dont think I'll be able to make it I've got to much on and also the GSXR is tucked away for the winter.

Fun stuff around me. Is the Road to Crewkerne ( A356 ) then take the road onto bridport, then along the coast road back to weymouth. You could take the back roads then back through Cerne Abbas, then Sherborne and back out to sturminster newton and then out then pick up some of the AR route, through stourpaine, then round the back of Sailsbury race course and then hoon it all down the A30 back to Sherborne / Yeovil again

You've got the road from Langport out towards Othery and then onto Bridgwater, then you could do from there to Minehead up over Porlock and that'll take you out into Exmoor but again you need to factor in the weather at this time of year or you'll all be getting cold and wet...

I reckon you'd be better leaving it till the spring when the weathers better. I dont mind riding in the wet if I get caught in it, but a fun ride mid jan if the weathers p*ss poor isnt going to get a very big turn out...

short but sweet, thought people wouldnt want a massive ride at this time of year as some of us (me included:)) are tarts and dislike the cold :p

i was thinking maybe to go into Portland for about a hour lunch stop but not sure as it will be forking freezing this time of year, might be able to find a pub or something depending on how many will be attending, if not then a stop in weymouth

its not 100% yet, i've not ridden those roads for nearly 2 years so want to recky them 1st to check its ok and see if there is room for improvement, i know they will work for a small ride but again it depends on how many people attend as i dont want it to get confusing, plus if i recall the B3157 can be a plod hot spot in the summer but not sure about this sort of time so again that will need to be checked

for those of us that are coming from the east, maybe a stop off a poole quay on the way home?

When are ya looking at doing this? Mid to end of Feb would give the weather a chance to warm up a touch whilst also allowing everyone to make proper arrangements for the event. To early or too soon??????

Just trying to organise an org trackday. There were quite a few people interested but nothing was in the pipeline. There's 2 polls in the track day part of the forum (in racing chat), for tracks and dates. Once the track and date is set I shall set about trying to get us some discount for a bulk booking or something.

May organise a SW&S track day at a more local track if this goes ok, we'll see.
