Optimate question

I've got my SV battery plugged up to the Optimate 3 SP I bought a while ago, trouble is I lost the destructions when I moved. The charge/test light is flashing and I know this signifies 'test', but what's it testing?

Earlier on it went into 'desulphate' mode and then to 'charge', so I can't see why it's testing anything.

I've also had to lob the SR250 battery on my housemate's Optimate as that was flat as well this morning. I had to take the car into town ffs.

My instruction got wet in the garage, I found some pretty quickly by googling in PDF format.

I dont have them on this work computer though they are at home.

Heres a video of it as well, looks interesting and informative.

The connectors look the same as Oxford's & the one Hein Gericke sell, wonder if they are from the same factory in the end.
