Sorry this isn't for a Pointy, but it only cost a tenner ;)

don't bother, I put a rentec rack on my gixer for convenience of shifting tent/sleeping bag etc and it marked my paintwork. where it rubbed and not good enough fitting locations cut into the plastic at the mounts.

I would not make that mistake again

Bought this on ebay without really thinking.

Advertised as a Renntec K4> 6 SV sports rack.

Am I the only one with a gutter mind who thought a rack was something else?
And you want a sporty one you say?

I think on the guess the rack game it looks like it may fit a Busa. My grab rail has two holes close together like that. Whats the gap between holes. Centre to centre and from left to right?

Ok the grab rail on a 2004 Busa is 4.7 cm top from bottom holes. Then left to right bottom holes is 23.4 cm. This is using a decoraters measure not a micrometer so its could be + or - 1mm. Not sure what it looks like on a curvy SV as I dont have a seat pod to keep taking on and off. Hope that helps

Its definitely a Renntec, has it no markings or stamp on it? Might also be worth email Renntec the same question, they may answer...

Measurements are using a steel rule, and attempting to measure from the centres of the holes. Certainly seems like it could be a Busa one!

Thanks for all the help Daved and Dave!

No stamps or markings. Only a sticker that states a 2.5kg weight limit.

Got mine on EBAY, but the dealer was Jack Lilley of Ashford. There were 3 listed, 2 black, one silver, which I was the only bidder. So I expect they were having a stock clearout and these were the last ones.

Postage was £8, so not quite a tenner.

Here's the item

Fantastic, we got there in the end. Not sure that you are allowed to win your own competition though Miles. .....But seeing how the judges decision is final. Have a great new year.
