I'm suffering big time:( I have a cracking headache, chesty cough, sore throat that feels like I've swallowed razor blades, shivery, and coughing up green gunk. Eyes ache, and my nose is sore from blowing it so much. And I feel cold but Anne tells me that I'm burning up.

So I've had to cancel drinkies with John and Daryl tonight and I'm not happy:(:(:(

You obv have a chest infection hun.... green gunk = infection and you need some antibiotics. Get some paracetamol inside you too to lower the temp which is also caused by the infection. Get well soon

Had a chest infection last christmas, which ruined all my plans. Get to the Doc on Monday for some antibotics, as hoping 'it will just go away' won't cure it. :crutches:

Get well soon

you should keep an eye out for that bird flu stuff!

Luckily enough for me, it sounds like you've got the exact same thing I had around 3 weeks ago. It took about 2 and a half weeks to shift, and just as I started coughing up green mucus & blood, it started to clear. Still, went to the doctors and he said it looked like I'd managed to fight it off on my own.

Lockets will soothe your throat, airwaves will help clear your nose and 2 x paracetamol OR cocodamol every 4 hours (no more than 8 in 24 hours) take the edge off the general horrible feeling of death. Asside from that, lots of water, tea and hydration etc should help :)

oh and john & daryl, if one of you could paint a red cross on his front door to warn passer's by, that'd be great

Hi Ed,

as others have said, Paracetamol, rest and antibiotics if you suspect a secondary infection. Don't forget to have plenty to drink and get lots of rest. Look at it this way, we can keep you company!

Get well soon Honey

Thank you peeps!! Thing is, I don't do sick, I'm never ill. I mean, never - I don't even catch colds, so this is just horrible. I've slept for nearly 24 hours and still feel yuk, but the paracetamol seems to be working:) And I was in bed so didn't have to watch Strictly Come Dancing, so there's a bonus:D:D

We dropped off his cards on the way to the pub. Daren't knock and risk exposure, cowards that we are. Just shoved them through the letterbox and ran.
