Might watch that tonight. We recorded it off Sky last night but didn't get around to watching it. Due to 6 month old baby, we're not going out tonight.

Well I've got an 11year & 3year old, I've not been out for ages!

Hope the fireworks don't wake baby up either, another New Year pain in the neck :smt019

Enjoy the movie ;) Can't recommend Iron Man though, but thats because it wasn't set in the comics era. Twas set set in modern times, with the Taliban or similar as the baddies. George W must have written the storyline

Bridge over the River Kwai was most excellent... as always:D

I know that it is actually not far off what it was like, cos FIL told me. Slight derail but he experienced the cruelty of the Japanese first hand 1944 - 1946.

Breadboy, just for you...

Don't waste your pucker on some all day sucker
And don't try a toffee or cream
If you seek perfection in sugar confection
Well there's something new on the scene
A mouth full of cheer
A sweet without peer
A musical morsel supreme!
Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets!
The candies you whistle, the whistles you eat.
Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets!
The eatable, tweetable treats!

Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets!
The toot of a flute with the flavor of fruit!
Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets!
No longer need candy be mute!

Don't waste your pucker on some all day sucker

and don't try a toffee or cream!
If you seek perfection in sugar confection,

well, there's something new on the scene:

that mouth full of cheer;

that sweet without peer;

That musical morsel supreme!
Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets!
A bon-bon to blow on at last has been found
Toot Sweets!
Toot Sweets,
with tweetable, eatable sound!

No--take it away!

Father, please!
Toot! Hmm-Hmm. Toot! Laughter from Truly and her father.

He likes it!

Hooray!

Their value is intrinsic,

surpass any mint stick

Or marshmallow mouthful you munch

Though licorice is chewy

And gum drops are gooey

And chocolate is charming to crunch

That savory fife,

that sweet of your life

It's clearly the best of the bunch.

Oh Baph, that's sad!!

I watched Moulin Rouge over Christmas, the cottage we were staying in had the video. Weird or what!!! Never been keen on Ewan MacG, except in Trainspotting.
But at the end Evie and I decided we had enjoyed it, still weird though!

You thought Chitty Bang Bang was the worst. Tonight its Eastenders, Miss Marple, The Bill and Johnathan Creek all complete carp :smt019

At least the Fantastic Four and Best of Top Gear are good alternatives.

Watched Von Ryans Express again, why didn't they take the section of track from inside the tunnel to detrail the Germans train that was following them at the end. Then Frank Sinatra would have had a better chance of getting away

Yes I did and really enjoyed it too! Griff is soo funny when he gets wound up and the other two delight in doing it!

I'm sure a lot is scripted, but it's entertainment and I enjoyed it.
