trainer prints good tho, they may even be on record. When we arrest people for trigger offences they have their trainer prints taken (like fingerprinting) and this is kept on record along with DNA etc etc.
Lets hope the bar stools are caught soon

sorry to hear this mate - it was our first new year away from our home (which we bought & moved into at the end of october this year)...
I had lights on timers everywhere, left the telly on and generally tried to make it look like someone was home. Properly paranoid!
Really sorry to hear about this matey, especially on new years eve :(
B*****ds.
We went out, a neighbour had a big party and they were stood in the road when we got home, that would have deterred anyone round here.

Surely peoples trainers change so often that it is pointless anyway? Also there are many of the same types of trainers whereas DNA is different for each person.

This stuff - all insured, right?
yes but the sentimental impact thats the worst part her granddads watch ,our first gifts to each other ,all things that wont be the same and the house feels violated now
It's sucky, but ultimately it's just stuff, regardless of the sentimental attachment.
I've been burgled a couple of times, and had a bike and car nicked, and never really felt the violation bit - just faint annoyance at the inconvenience of it all.
Fix however they got in and get the claim in pronto, soon enough you'll have new stuff to take your mind off it.

You can evidential match a specific trainer to a mark left at a crime scene, everyones trainers wear slightly differently depending on how you walk etc and any damage to the sole makes them unique.
but......you need to find the burglar and get his trainers to prove it, which is the hard part.
Yeah they don't just say "this was from a nike air max" then go out arresting everyone wearing that type of shoe.
Sorry to hear this, Tanis:(
I hope they catch them.
oh how horrid... I hope they manage to retrieve stuff for you :grouphug:
It's the prime time for burglaries. Just after Christmas. Gutted for you.
