Im not to precious about what type, make or size .22 or .177 but I needed to dispatch a rabbit this morning and I wasnt happy with the rifle I used... so looking for a replacement....

I really should apply for my shotgun license...(doh)

Surely rabbit dispatch would be better done via DHL rather than an air rifle? ;)

but there's no fat in rabbit and until they get chapped they live a relatively stress free life-which imoa makes meat taste better

I'd rather someone goes and hunts and eats a happy-living wild bunny-wabbit than promote intensive chicken farming (by buying one) which is a disgrace.

The Bunny in question had mixy and it was the kindest thing to do, as it was sitting on the track leading up to where I live so it was either shoot it or run it over...

I dont feel good about shooting it, but I live in the country it was a needed evil....

I want a new rifle as I want happy with the condition and power of my current one and that is not "game"

Fackin hippies. Rabbits taste lovely, not sure eating mixy ones is a good idea though.

Sheridan prohunter pistols are pretty good for short range, 6 ft lb is enough up to maybe 20M for headshot. (if you're going to stay legal)

Otherwise maybe a crossman ratcatcher, those are a pretty good carbine, especially with air conversion. (gets pricey buying cartridges)



Or get your shotgun license, I've a 3 shot hatsan auto that doesn't get used enough.

thats a bit over kill isnt it?? the m107 is used for taking out vehicles!! but still good old family fun when used with the high explosive rounds:D. and if your good enough you can get a kill up to 2.2miles away, any further and you have raised the bar for everyone

As an alternative to buying a new gun, one foot on its head, body/legs in your hands and a quick pull/twist should sort it.
