They look like my Dr Bike heated grips which are the old model oxford hotgrips rebranded. If thats the case they are as good as any pair of oxfrod hotgrips that were bought last year. Look at the controller and see if it looks exactly like this one..

ive got a curvy i read some threads that say there were problems with the heat transfer due to the bars any ideas

That depends mainly on the grips that you get. Curvy bars are pretty good at dissipating heat (which is bad if you want heated grips).

Oxford changed the design at some stage because a number of bikes had bars with similar properties.

I can't remember when the design changed though, I know the later analogue controllers (as in the picture above - turn dial ones) were reportedly OK (but some models also had controller issues).
