Lozzo Lozzo, the 7R needs to be GREEN :)
I would see how it rides but I think I prefer the CBR600 already.
I've only ever owned one green Kawasaki, and that was crap. I'll most likely paint this one silver again, back to original spec.
they do look great in green though.
Are you going to make it road legal or make it a track bike? Looks like it needs a lot of work.
Did you get a bargain?

The jury is out on that one. I've owned more red Kawasakis than any other colour. When I bought the KR-1 I wasn't keen on owning a green one, I was hoping it was a red one when I went to view it.

It was a stupid cheap bargain, and despite what it looks like it's actually a very sound bike.
I doubt I'll be making it my trackbike, I get on far too well with my CBR600 to want to change.
The 7R needs new bodywork and painting, which by my standards is not a huge amount of work. Chassis is perfect, engine is sweet, it has new tyres, new chain and sprockets, new battery and was serviced just before being laid up. My housemate has so much spare ZX-7R bodywork he doesn't know what to do with it all, so the best of the spare bits will be sent off for minor repairs and new paint while I set to cleaning and painting the rest that requires attention.
By the time this bike is completed it'll be completely different and one of the nicest 7Rs around.

So no excuse to drop a 9R engine in it then?;)

Why do that when you can drop a ZXR750L crank in and make it an 810cc
How much was the beast? Does it just need cosmetically refurbed then?
Nekkid tattooed lady? ;)
Yeah, simply needs a god tidy up and repainting. I found out today it has a full Hindle exhaust sytem, dynojetted and has a K+N filter... bonus.
I'm not saying how much it was because it'd sicken everyone and you'd never believe me anyway. I think Ogden might know how much as I bought it off a mate of his. If he wants to say then he can go ahead. It's going to cost me a fair bit to make it 100%, so there may not even be a profit in it by the time it's sold, but I get to play with a project and I can say I owned a ZX-7R when my grandkids ask what bikes I had.
The nekkid tattooed burd is my ex. Sorry, can't show her face cos she's in the armed forces.

I like it :-) its a proper mans sports bike ;-)
My mate at work rides a red one, he had it since new and done only 18k. He rides it in all weathers and considering he hardly cleans it its in good nick.
I like em and would love one...................... got to be green though :-)
Looks like it will be easy enough to turn into a real nice one. Enjoy it mate.................... then sell it me in 12 months;-)

I know how that 7R rides. It's mostly OK but something definitely feels wrong. If ever there was a bike that feels like it's been cobbled together from spare parts in someone's garage, that was it.
Bet it was cheap though.

The 7R was always on my list of "bikes I want to own one day". I loved that bike, but it was never quite the same after I wrapped it round a tree.
