Had a couple of texts off Badger to say he had an off this morning. Sounds like the ice got him at about 10mph, so went down hard. He is having a chest and leg X-ray on LHS. Poor bugger also has cough which is making the ribs hurt like hell. More on this as I know.
He says loads of other bikers and old folks in A&E today. We had some freezing rain last night that has coated every path / road with a slick covering of ice, it's deadly! Even my dog slipped on his bum this morning it's so slippery.
UPDATE: The lad has cracked ribs on LHS and his knee has a haematoma, so swelling up very nicely.
Hence why i decided to get the train in!!
Get well soon Mr Triple Badger X type bloke
Exactly what happened to me a short few weeks ago. Bugger of the highest order. Fingers crossed nothing too badly damaged. Body or bike.

Today is one of the very rare days when I decided that it might be sensible to leave the bike at home.

Clumsy git. Should have landed on your balls (1) they would have cushioned the fall ;)
It was mad out here today.
I spent an hour and a half just round the corner from the bison burger emporium with me van stuck sideways across a lane after trying to get up a small hill.
Why does it always happen equidistant from the two nearest salt heap?
Get well soon :)

Yes I managed to get home around 7pm last night . The Hospital was sheer mayhem and I felt like I was getting in the way of those that probably needed more assistance than I did . They wouldn`t let me leave for some reason and wanted to keep me there . A full write up of Yesterdays proceedings will be done for you all in my usual manner :D .
Many thanks go to all those that have wished me well in here and more thanks go to those that Text me offering condolences and beratement , you know who you are :p , even greater thanks goes to Luckypants for offering to collect me from the Hospital and to the 2 mikes in work for shifting the bike to a better and less thievable spot . It`s appreciated folks .

Once apon a time I used to be Warehouse Manager for Tesco.
On December the 23rd they sent me an entire Lorry of Easter Eggs!!!
I told the driver to go back from wence he came in a slightly more rude and more used phrase.
