i am addicted to this game. played for 4 hours this afternoon and now my eyes hurt.
its brilliant! whos got it? (i'm only talking to ps3 peeps cos everyone knows xbox sucks!)

i aint got it but want it badly, playin call of duty 3 at mo.
I played the demo and thougt it was ok. Will possibly get it with the left over xmas money for the PS3. I was a massive fan of COD4.

game is sweet - i get the games from lovefilm as i hate paying £40 a time! Plus they do blurays!

Got it for xmas, must say I love it. Not played online yet though, just doing the solo mission.

Got it for Xmas, but 'cos the kids are here, and Mrs BP loves her soaps soooo much, I have barely dented the tarnish on the first scenario!
Looks very cool, graphics appear way beyong the COD 4 offerings to me, but that may be 'cos I expected them to be, so I percieve them to be better regardless.
Looking forward to a day of it tomorrow, then even more excitement when the new Hi-Def projector arrives and it's being played seven feet wide in full, LOUD surround sound in the cinema!

It is! I got some surround headphones with the projector to play late a night without waking my housemates. The amount of times I've woken up with COD4 still playing and an xbox controller in hand is embarrassing :rolleyes:
although it could be something to do with the 3 litre bottles of homebrew being the smallest size I made...

I hear ya, and I'm sure I will soon......but........as this is my first experience of COD I wanted to make sure I had at least a little practice before I get shot to pieces by 10 year old spotty oiks. :-D

I got it when it came out for the ps3. My lil' bro plays it like a musketeer, he's pretty amazing at it with his friends, he likes the zombie missions for some reason.
I play it as much as i can but i can't get anything other than rubbish.
The name's 'thingus' if anybody wants to add!

They blow hot and cold - if you keep only a few of the games you like in your list then they will have no option!

COD 3? Much better than COD3 i guess, same developer for this one so i guess they just improved a lot. Looks great in HD 'i hear', ****ty 1990s square tv doesn't really do it justice.
Basically just went mad on the maps and upped the gore but gameplay's the same i think.

yes, I'm up to level 26 or 27 online, it's totally awesome in multiplayer, cannot do hardcore war online though, those boys team up well

I think i hit 40 yesterday :p been playing for oh what... about 3 months? lal... it's good fun though, lets a bit of anger out (usually lets a bit of anger in aswell!)

I played Modern Warfare online but just got killed loads. Also there's not really much skill involved I noticed people were just running around killing and being killed an equal amount of times. Bit pointless really.
Just got MotoGP 08 and its brilliant too!!! :)

If you saw my bro playing you'd see the skill involved! I can't stand those baaaastards with grenades and rocket launchers but some people play this game religously. He's been teaching me but bleh, i just paid him off and went outside and picked grass for a bit. :(

Been playing it on PS3
Got it just before Xmas and played about 30 mins in story mode before I discovered the online play, since then the story has taken a back seat. Such a shame I've been laid up over the holiday with a chest infection and laryngitis, all I was able to do was grind up the levels... (just got 40 something, some sort of colonel and unlocked the .357 magnum although I really fancy the PPSH smg).
Only online shooter I've played on the PS3 was Farcry 2 which I was quite impressed with (OK, prior to that was Halo 2 on X-Box) although the loading times were very long.
It's horribly addictive, at least unlike Halo 2 you don't seem to lose ranking if you lose a game. I like the way you can customise your character and once you have sussed which particular profile works best on which maps it's a lot of fun.
Ive just finished it.
I have one problem though.

cod5's good definitely better than 3 but i still think 4's the better game still fun online.

I just got the hang of cod4 when cod5 came out, guess it was just bad timing. I've still got it but i consider it a backwards step i suppose. Cod5 is totally different to play :(
The kids bought 'Far Cry 2'. Wife told me to go and tell them to switch it off as they've been playing since 7.30 this morning. That was at 5.30pm, the wise guys told me to have a go before they do and I ended up playing it till 11.45pm, it's still switched on. Erm, would you like some tea dear...
