Hello there,
I've been looking for a new set of leathers for a while now as my are quite worn from previous accidents... After doing some research, I found out that the size I've been wearing is actually too big and that leathers should be a tighter fit (like an extra layer of skin). So I tried to look for leathers that are my size (chest: 34"), and so far i've been wearing 42" which is slight loose on me, and the armour is free to move, though i never thought that was a problem(apparently it's spose to be skin tight). But all the men's ones are too big, only ladies ones are available... Could anyone tell me if they know anywhere that sells leathers my size? Or shall I just get a set of ladies leathers?
Many thanks for your time.

The only way your gonna get a set that fit like you want really is to get them custom made, it'll cost you big bucks though.

I believe they are quite reasonable for M2M and will also alter their off the peg range to suit.

There are a few decent companies dotted around the country; I'm down in East Anglia and buy my gear from Hideout. Personally think they are fantastic, and they use full grain leather, and are double seamed so I know they will do their job.
Decent leather is expensive, but cheap leather is no better than wearing a pair of jeans! If you can't afford decent leather go for textiles.
It's all in the stitching!!

Ok, so maybe not so useful........
I'm a bit of an odd shape, all legs and arms and I apparently don't weigh enough. I tried for ages to find leathers that fit and came to the conclusion I'm just a very uncommon size. So I had the lovely people at Hideout make me a set. It wasn't cheap, but they're brilliant.
At the lower cost end of the scale, several companies will alter existing off-the-peg leathers to fit you. In this case I believe it's easier to trim leather off than add it, so buying a bit big and having it taken in would be the way to go.
It's worth noting that a company like Hideout charge around 10% more for made to measure than off the peg. Their off-the-peg leathers aren't cheap because they're very well made, by hand in the UK. It's not the made to measure bit that makes this expensive, it's more that the companies that hand make leathers to CE standards in the UK produce a high quality product that costs quite a bit to make. If you want to run 3,000 identical suits off in the far east using lower quality components and techniques, you make a cheaper product. This is why it's sometimes cheaper to modify an off-the-peg suit than buy made-to-measure.
Best of luck!

+1 for Scott Leathers. I had a good look over some the other day and I'm really impressed for the price.
I've got 2 sets of made to measure MJKs that I'm really happy with, but they're not imported into the UK any more. The old MJK importer has now become the southern agent for Scott Leathers.

I got a set of their Venom jeans and a retro jacket at the NEC and am really impressed for what I paid. They have armoured up the jacket with Knox stuff and added a full length zip for me to connect it to the jeans, and the total cost was only £350, which included a £10 charge to post the jacket out to me. :-D
Sounds like you need a set of Dani Pedrosa's old leathers!

 Hmm, if 42" leathers are only slightly loose, then there is no way you will get 34" leathers on. I know you are going for the snug second skin effect but theres tight and then theres way too small.

Since when? I only got my jacket the week before Christmas and their website is still up and running, so must have been fairly recently.

Incorrect.
I've just spoken to my close friend Graham Falcke at GLF Accessories (Scott's southern agent). I told him what you'd posted so he called Scott Leathers himself and replied to me immediately.
Apparently Scott Leathers are not in administration. They are trading as normal and very busy with work they picked up at the NEC show.
So, if anyone wants either made to measure or off the shelf Scott Leathers, then give Graham a call on 01525 717009
