There has been a spate of can thefts around here recently and I have been doing a search on Exhaust Security bolts . I spotted these things all over the place years ago and now don`t see them anywhere . They used to be a flush or slightly domed head with 3 holes in them and you got a "bit" to tighten it up with , any ideas anyone ?

Checked both sites and didn`t find them under the Exhaust drop down or the Security one . Even did a search on "Motrax" and "Exhaust" and got some appalling random selection of ****e , this is why I don`t order from them
Funny you should mention spot welding. I have a K8 which I will be cutting soon for a Street Extreme. ATM it has a guard on it near the end can, no worries I thought, I will just unscrew it...... not,.The clever people at Suzuki have spot welded the sodding allen bolts.
So, whats the best way to get the guard off. Am I going to have to cut it off with an angle grinder/saw ???

:) Found exactly the same with mine the other weekend Tony!
I just used a junior hacksaw to cut the weld...5mins max whilst it was on the paddock stand.
Then another 5 mins with a bigger hacksaw to get the stock can off.
REMEMBER TO CUT THE STOCK CAN AT LEAST 55MM FROM THE WELD - or you'll go through the catalyst!

Well this is the thing , I don`t think anyone makes them anymore so they are becoming a bit of a bugger to find . 2 mates have told me they had cans nicked off their bikes out of spite over Xmas . The thieves came around and couldn`t get the bike so they undid the springs on the can and undid the bolt on the Exhaust and had it away with the can .

im not surprised, as it would only take 2-3 mins to nick a can
my mate had his front bumper nicked off his feista rs ...... in asdas car park at 1pm?
they facked the 2 wings up ripping it off

We had one on our curvy. Not for theft reasons, but so if we got pulled for a noisy can, as if???, the cops couldn't take the can off as "evidence".
Anyho, after mucho searching I've found it and the relevant socket adaptor. 45mm long and I believe an 8mm.
Any use Bodger?

People are frightened it might be contagious YC. :reaper:
Bodger, the bolt is in the post. Sent it recorded, so you'll have to get up out of your comfy chair and go answer the door.
Save your money, all the thieves do when confronted with a security bolt is unbolt the footrest hanger from the frame.

Not costing me a penny as Pete has donated one to me , and it`s just a deterrant to the less clued up tea leaves , anybody Savvy enough will have anything away from my bike if they wanted to

These ones are useless, all you need is two small allen keys or nails and a spanner to remove. Also as Lozzo said, a clever thief will simply remove the can hanger instead.
