Hi,

I'm on the look for some new safety gear to with the bike that I eventually purchase:rolleyes:.

I was fortunate enought to recieve an alpinestars smx airflow jacket, gloves and and an nice avg helmet as gifts recently and am now looking for something to go on the bottom half and some additional armour..

I'm leaning towards armoured jeans at the moment for the short term and will eventually get round to buy some leather trousers, but I can't seem to find a good deal on alpinestar leathers at the moment!

I'm kind of torn between hood jeans concept 6s with knee and hips inserts @ £110

Draggin jeans sans inserts for about £75

Or the new alpinestars rodeo jeans which I have found for £75.

Any opinion on kevlar jeans? Reviews?

Also in terms of armour the stuff on the smx jacket isn't so great just foam inserts really. I've been looking at knox, forcefield stuff but keep stumbling across things like this on evilbay...

Obviously a very attractive price, but i'm worried that it looks a bit restricitve and may not fit under jackets etc.

Does anyone have any experience of this style of armour? Looks like it might be overkill!

Anyway any advice is much appreciated and please excuse the noob nature of my questions.

Cheers,

Buckley.

i have the draggin's and although i havnt really tried any other's what i will say about them is there comfy and well made with kevlar on the vulnerable bit's **** knees and along the hip bit's i wear armour that straps to my knees underneath them too but their no good in winter so if it's going to be your only pair i'd say go for some kind of textile trouser forcefield armour is aparently the dog's doo dah's too.
