nah am groggy after an hour or so. good word that, groggy.
Its the human system is programmed to want to sleep after a few hours, this revirts back to when we used to hunt for food (some still do) and we used to sleep and only wake when we was hungry and then would go and hunt, much a like a cat would.
There.

I especially like it when I get out of the wrong side of the bed, go to school with my son, and go back to bed, when I come back :-)

Dangerous them powernaps. I popped home from work at lunch a few years ago and thought i'd have a 15 min powernap. The end result......45 mins late back to work cos I slept longer than 15 mins

Naps are great! Every time I get sleepy in the car, I pull over to a service station and get 20 mins sleeping in :) Wake up and can drive for another 6 hours!

Me too. I normally set an alarm on my mobile so that I don't sleep for too long. Works like magic.

Yup! Same for me. The radio on the car has a sleep timer too. Great invention!
Mind you, I've slept in the boot of my focus so many times when I can't be bothered to put a tent up

Pop half of the seats down, and sleep with my head in the boot, and legs curled round on the seat.
Very comfortable providing you brought a car fridge full of becks ;)

lol...l remember driving back from Leeds once in a van, it was donkeys ago when they were widening the M62 to 4 lanes or summat...anyway, loads of traffic jams etc, pulled in to the services around 6pm, climbed in the back with all the tools etc and had a 'nap'. Woke up freezing cold at 1am! Shat myself when I woke up, for a few seconds, didn't know where I was, how I'd got there etc etc...
Hovis had a power nap in the pub on AR 08

If I get it just right, it's great... But if you sleep slightly too long it totally kills you when you wake up, there's probably science involved. Something to do with sleep cycles or REM sleep or somesuch.

I have to have pretty much dead on eight hrs a night or day (whichever way round I'm on shift) if I have any less than 7 I'm like a zombie. Thats why I like napping a lot when I can get it in to make up for the amount of times I've stayed up some 28 hrs or so, when I'm on the beginning or end of my nights runs, which is every other week.

I tend to sleep from midnight `til 5 and might grab 20 minutes during the day to top myself up . At the weekend I have nodded a few times and after 20 minutes or so I wake up and am bright eyed again . ALWAYS have a nap on a NW rideout too , there is photographic evidence , much to my Chagrin .
