I'm addicted!!!
I used to listen to it when I was younger but then I just stopped. I've always appreciated it and have a little music in my collection but recently I have been tuning into classic fm as I find it helps me work and revise. But I actually do think I'm addicted! Not exactly a bad thing just amuses me

I spent a whole week listening to Classic FM when I was on holiday in Cornwall. My best friend and I thought it was funny. Song would come on and we would say ahhh I love this one...its from such and such...apparently blah blah blah.
When the holiday ended we switched back onto Radio 1 which was playing some nice jingly pop song with nice vocals. We both looked at each other and said.
'Oh my god!!! Its just noise!!!' Switched back onto Classic FM and suddenly felt like the world was right again.

I used to like you :lol:
Can't stand it. Really makes me aggitated.
Oh well :-dd
Long ago stopped listening to carp and drivel that is a large part of the output of Radio 1.
There's a lot of truely inspiring other music out there, including classical and opera.....often listen to operatic arias and choruses when in the car.
at the moment I'm listening to Amy Winehouse on my MP3 player. Classy stuff.
I'm also guilty of listening to Terry Wogan on R2 in the mornings. Must be turning into my dad

I dont mind classical music, and I have used peices of music in the past to improve my guitar method - Paganini was a true shredder!
But neoclassical guitar does it for me...see Michael Romeo of symphony X
I'm addicted!!!

Yeah and Shamen NEVER did a single song about drug usage...............
Amy the Winohouse, Classy ?
Nah.... wouldn't touch her with yours :p
I like her music though, regardless of the inspiration for it.

I used to enjoy destroying the kids credibility with their friends when dads taxi service was used for school runs etc.
I enjoy Classic FM but never really liked radio 3 as it tries to be too high brow about enjoying music.
TBH good music of any gendre is enjoyable, crap music is still crap even if it is in vogue.
However, in order to appreciate music, sometimes you have to forget what it is and just listen. A bit like food, sometimes it is wiser not to look at what it is and just enjoy the taste.

I'm thinking boy bands* and anything born of reality TV shows.
* I'm excluding the reformed Take That from the crap list. They have matured well and I quite like them. Must be time for my medication.
Another classical music liker. Esp. opera.
My 10yo pays 'O Mio Babbino Caro' beautifully on her violin. I think I know every note too....:D

hmm... I also like a bit of classical music - quite like watching last night of the proms on TV, but then I think maybe i'm just getting old and have to temper the crazyiness with some Tool or Foo Fighters :)

I like modern classical, as in the genre, 'Modern Classical', as opposed to modern attempts at making music in a 'Classical' style, which are nowhere near as good as the originals. Things like Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima, Murcof - Cosmos. I also like some of the more forwards-thinking 'classical' stuff like Steve Reich's work. I'd also group Aphex Twin's piano tracks off Drukqs in this category.
Another classical lover here.:D
Mozart's Requiem makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

Hehe it's all coming out now .orgers! Can tell a lot about a person by their music tastes, however I am unpredictable as I listen to practically everything EXCEPT rap and drum and base, the latter which is unfortunately all that my housemate from hell listens to, hate it

+1, I only listen to Radio 1 in the mornings as I find Chris Moyles vaguely amusing :)

:smt019 to you too! And what is it you listen to Hovis, do enlighten me!
Nah.... wouldn't touch her with yours :p

Me too, she's different and despite all the aggro in her life atm she still makes good music. I couldn't care less about her personal life, you can't judge a book by its cover!
Classical music is my fav.
A couple of boys from Sheffield with floppy hair and a guitar just can't compete with the magic of an orchestra.
Love Classic FM, just a shame it has ads on it.
Like a bit of classical too. Been listening Holst's The Planets and Vivaldi's The Four Seasons today. :)
Find classical alot more relaxing to work to than my usual Greenday, Coldplay, Blink182, Pink, etc. Classical seems to help me concentrate.

Tis a great feeling, I always get it whenever I hear an exceptionally good piece of music :-D

Yeah they're a right pain, especially as they're guaranteed to be the same ones over and over, I'm currently singing along to the one on Night Nurse
Like a bit of classical too. Been listening Holst's The Planets and Vivaldi's The Four Seasons today. :)
That is very strange, i was chatting to my housemate about my addiction and she said ooooo listen to these and played both those songs and said they were her faves! You two would clearly get on :-D

I recently enjoyed four seasons by candle light in period costume at the Liverpool Philharmonic. Definately one of my favs.

Anyone seen the film "The Piano" ? I've just been listening to the soundtrack on youtube, amazing, looks quite good in the videos.
Josh, when you here the same drum and base tune on repeat, utter tripe, you will soon grow to dislike it. It makes a sweet sweet change to go into the kitchen and hear classic fm, I manage to drown it out well

That's pretty impressive!
Fair enough about the same tune repeating over and over. I only hear the same track about every 40 or so songs

I put Classic FM on the radio in the office at work. It drives the young'uns mad!
One of the Jeeps still has the radio fitted, so that's on Classic FM when it's quiet too.
The only Radio 1 I listen to now is Chris Moyles. Mostly, Radio 2 apart from the annoying bint on weekday mornings.
The I-Pod is full of classics, my Grandpa had hundreds and hundreds of CD's which my Dad, brother and I shared out when he died. Some amazing music out there and you can never run out of music to listen to!
