Neraly as daft as the currys guy who wanted to charge me the earth for an optical cable for my PS3. He gave up when I asked for the time domain reflection charictaristics and assurance the bit error rate would improve against my existing £1.99 cable.

Thats hilarious!

This quote made me laugh about that kettle lead

It's so smooth and silky that I joke to my friends that you can fantasize Sophie Marceau breathing into yours ears and her fingers running up and down your body.

(If you don't know who she is google her name - yum!)

Stupid computer!!! They are now not. Unless you click on Skip's quote part cos that won't change for some reason.

The £10k phono cable is now up.

How about speaker cable at $7250 for 12 feet.

So $14,500 for a single set up!

James Randi has offered $1 million to the company if they can hear the difference in a blind test.

Surprisingly they haven't taken it up ;)

Yes although the Phono Cable is ridiculous the funniest is the £2.5 kettle lead which is meant to deliver better sound quality and all that jargon because it delivers the power through High-End cable!!
Mmmmmm so what about the hundreds of miles it has travelled using the national grid cables!!!
There are actually people out there that believe that the slots on the screws inside the plug that hold the live and the neutral should be perpendicular to the earth screw and that will improve 'Sonic Performance and Enhance Sound Scape'

Decent sound systems and speakers do make a difference. But there's definitely a ceiling to it.

I'm happy with my Arcam set up :)

Of course decent sound systems and speakers make a difference. Thats the whole point, they are the difference. Gold Plated mains plug pins however don't :)

for some reason the thought that sprang into my head then was

'I'd rather have a singing bog seat from Honest Freddy for a tenner'

Think I've eaten too much carrot cake:-D
