When firing my bike sometimes it seems like it is slightly too rich. Which was do you twist the throttle stop to alter the idle revs and do you need to pull it out slightly to turn it (mine doesn't seem to want to turn in the normal position).
Any help on this would be really really appreciated.
cheers

Which way you twist the tickover adjuster depends which way you want to adjust the tickover. Clockwise to increase rpm. They do like to sieze up on occasion.
However what gives you the notion that that will make the mixture leaner?
Sounds more like stuck choke plungers than anything wrong with your idle speed adjustment.
The idle speed does not alter the fuel air mixture. Although it does seem like you have uncovered another issue with the seized idle screw. A dose of WD40 should resolve that issue. Taking the air box off will give you good access to reach all of the mechanical parts of the idle cable.
I would say its your choke as people never remember to lube them, then they rust, stick and hey presto fuel problems. I know, as I've done it myself, expensive to replace to.

cheersSay what ?
Yes, you pull the Idle adjuster out of its holder to adjust the tick over then clip it back in, but as said above, it sounds like you may have a sticky choke as well or the carbs need balancing, or a few other things. When warm, the SV should tick over at a needles width below 1500rpm (1350-1400rpm)
Where are you based Phil?
