Hi, was just wondering if anyone has fitted Oxford Micro Indicators to their SV?

I need to replace my LH front indicator but thought I'd might change both front ones.

Anyway I've got a curvy faired SV650s (K2) and just wondered how much of a pain it is to replace the indicators. Also, would I need indy leads and spacers? Need to find out as much as possible as I will probably have to source stuff from the UK and get it shipped out to sunny New Zealand.

Cheers :)

I would think you would need all of those (I have a pointy and needed all of those).

Is there really nowhere in Auckland that does such basic accessories?

Was over there in Oct/Nov, my Mrs is an Aucklander :)

Can recommend MSW in St Kevins Arcade on K Road for leather - but at $1500NZ they are not cheap - the £/$ exchange rate makes them EXTREMELY affordable.

Ever ride SH25 from Tairua to Whitianga - looks like it would be fun on a bike.

Cheers for that, I guessed I probably would need all of that.

If I look hard enough I probably would find all the bits I need, I can get the Micro indicators for about $50.00, it's just that when I look on the web there is so much more choice from the UK and prices aren't too bad....it's just the postage, but I can get stuff sent to my parents in London and they can pass it on.

Yep, I rode that route last week with a pal, it's part of the 'Coromandel Loop', a very popular ride here in NZ, a very good ride!

Then you went right past my Mother In Laws place - she lives @ Corroglen.

Was driven up and down that bit of road, all the time cursing not having a bike.

Am actually considering shipping my SV out to live at her place (and keep the Z750 here) when I get it fixed up.

Dont suppose you know anyone who has some bike-cam/helmet-cam footage of Tairua to Whitinaga?

I have a mate who is heading to Auckland in the next month - might see if hes willing to arrange something with you re bringing the bits you want over with him - might save you postage...

Nice one, there are some really nice rides over here.

Thanks for that, I see how I get on, I'll probably get the Oxford Micros from here, I'm guessing I should go for the oval ones for a curvy SV? I'll have a hunt around for the leads and spacers and see how I get on.

Here are some clips on YouTube of the Coromandel Loop (Coro Loop):

Appreciate your help, thanks :)

The Indy spacers marked up for the TL1000 are the same as the Curvy SV650, not all websites list this info.

Double apology - probably a dumb question AND re-opening an old thread...sorry and sorry again!

Did you need spacers cos you have a Sport? I've got a naked K8 and I can't see the need for them cos they're so exposed.
