sorry thought twice then deleted other post.

Anyway, I bought a Ventura luggage system on 2nd January, brackets, bag, rails to fit to the bike, and storm covers. They debited my account for the full amount (£227) and it arrived on the 7th. Bunged the rails on the bike, and initially thought they'd forgotten the storm cover (£25)- then noticed on invoice they've hand written-*to follow shortly*.

No problem-emailed them yesterday, and they said they had to order it from New Zealand, and it would take about ten days, then they'd have to send it on to me. No apology, I emailed back and said I was disappointed with that, and they said I shouldn't be panicking anyway because the storm covers are only really to protect the luggage from spray and they should be waterproof without them.

So my question is, I'm wondering if I can send it all back-but I've fitted the rails, does that leave me stuck with the full system given they have charged me the full amount?

Unless they "guarnteed" delivery within a set time think you may be stuck.
They could have held it all back until it was all there, then sent it out which would have been a cheaper option for them.
Are you just hacked off cause you feel messed about?
You could try calling them and express your dissatisfaction and ask for some form of compensation but if it is what you ordered and the rest is on the way then I don't think you have any grounds for return, you would probably have to pay the return postage anyway so you'd be out of pocket.
Why would you want to return it anyway? Is it not what you wanted? Just because a part is late?

Smile, have a "small" glass of wine, you know as well as I do that a late delivery really isn't that important. ;)

It is if you're 11 months pregnant!
I assume.

If it's any consolation, Shonadoll, we have the ventura system for the Duke, but we don't have the storm covers. Anyone who rode home from the Glencoe Massacre with us will confirm how much it rained, but our luggage stayed bone dry.:D

So if you're wanting to use the luggage now before the covers arrive, you'll be safe to do so:D

You want to send back the whole luggage because the rain covers are late? Seems a bit extreme. Did they say it would all be delivered by a certain time?
