Now I don't do chick flicks, and I don't do musicals, but we had 10 free rentals from Blockbusters, so got this out.

I ******* loved it!

Maybe it was the Abba songs, maybe it was seeing Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth and Stellan Skarsgård in glam rock gear, I don't know, but what a film.:D

As for Meryl Streep.................I will never look at her in the same way again, she was bloody brilliant in this.

Anyone else seen it and loved it?

Saw it in on stage in the West End a few years ago (was just along the block from the SM meet)

Saw the film on the way back from NZ in Nov - the level of the singing ability wasn't as gratingly bad as I feared it would be.

It's been described to me as the most cringeworthy comedy ever.

Its probably a very good film, well it is by all accounts, but i have a loathing for Abba and this is stopping me form watching it!

Mrs BP and I love it too, but I can't stop laughing at Pierce Brosnan's singing. It causes me pain it's so bad!

We put it on on Christmas evening. My Dad, who hates stuff live that with a passion, ended up singing along and has bow bought a copy "For the wife" Yeah, right Dad, we beleive you.....NOT!

Had this inflicted on me on a flight to Turkey. They couldn't get sound to play through the headphones so stuck it over the intercom. Host(esses) were dancing down the aisles.

I loved it, I had to have a few glasses before I joined in with the sing-along. Poor neighbours!

'tis fun indeed, but not to be taken seriously :D

not in same league as Rocky horror but could become a cult classic.

When I went to see it at the cinema for the first 15 minutes I wondered why hell I'd bothered, that first scene with the girls is just cringeworthy. However I soon got into it and was happily "singing" along with my mate and the rest of the people in there LOL. Well made but I agree with BluePete, Pierce Brosnan's "singing" was extremely laughable, bet he got paid loads to do it, otherwise you just wouldn't would you?

Watched it t'other night with the girlfriend - was initially a bit sceptical as not my thing at all, but have to say I was pleasantly surprised and well entertained.

So there's hope if I tie YC down to the sofa and make him watch it he might actually enjoy it? :smt040

I was forced to sit through this film, I'll never be the same again. I thought the singing was rubbish, I've heard better at karaoke's!
