ok not quite! I did get pulled over today by the cops and escorted into the back of their cop car ;);)

I was so nervous and excited - never been in a police car before. I knew I wasn't speeding, my music was quite loud but not disturbingly so, so what could it be....Doh! NO TAX :( Ran out in November!

The two men were very nice (I am wearing a skirt today though!) :p and we had a good old chin wag before they let me on my way £60 lighter though!!

Very impressed with their manner and they were polite and knew that I hadn't realised!

What a start to the day! I need a brew!!!

No points on the licence, so not as bad as a speeding ticket :-)

You do have insurance, don't you.....story on the news today about having to SORN if no insurance. New rules

Ran out in November??? So whats all this rubbish the DVLA are advertising about having no Road TAx and that you are in the 'DATABASE'. You should have received an £80 fine as a reminder shouldn't you? Well proves thats a load of balls eh? Good to know. :)

It's not it's when you come to tax it again that you need to pay up.

I have, so quickly I bumped my head on the other door. This was when I was very much younger and very much less sober. The occifer in charge didn't take kindly to me peeing up the driver's door, my fault cos I didn't see him sitting in the passenger seat.

That little incident cost me a 20 quid fine in magistrates court, and a further 50 quid fine from my CO when I finally got back to camp.

God I'd have had a panic attack! :( Good to know that they treated you with respect and common sense

The only time Ive been in a Police car was when hubby flagged one down when I went into Labour (23 years ago) in the middle of the night. Our car wouldn't start in the freezing conditions and they just happened to be driving past! We went to the hospital with blues and twos and my waters broke all over the back seat  I did keep apologising but they said it didn't matter - better than sick I suppose

I has been a naughty boy and been in a policey car and a policey meat wagon.......I shall regail the stories as they still make me chuckle....

1. The first outing in a police car was whilst at uni, I got stopped in the street, read my rights and explained I fitted the description of someone wanted for theft. Turned out I was not the one they wanted.

2. Second outing in a police car was having been caught nicking a christmas tree from the nativity scene in Leicester city hall square, we did not realise that there were approx 6 CCTV cameras watching us. Alcohol is great!!!! Anyways, slap on the wrist, made to put it back after being taken back there and also had to return to do litter picking the next day. My kind of policing.

3. Policeyvan!!!! Me and four mates got veryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy drunk and were caught up ladders pinching the letters from the wall outside the "Varsity" pub......anyways, got put in a van and locked up. Luckily for me, I was assitant manager of the Varsity at the time. My boss said to me the next day...."Fair play, you had the front to try and nick them, we've been trying for years" as his name was Vince Andrews......he wanted the VA.

Anyways.....I is not a crim, just have a habit of enjoying myself when drunken.

I got boxed in by several police dog vans and cars once as I fitted the description of an armed person that they'd followed to the general area via cctv. Turned out the suspect was infact one of our mates, he had a little plastic bow and arrow with suckers on (it was valentines day and he was nuts) hung round his back. One of the vast number of coppers spotted it while they were searching me, they snapped & binned all his arrows and cleared off.
