View Full Version : Has this "american leader starts work today" thing been a tad overhyped?

Yes, it's a new president after that special needs fella, but do we really need all that hype that's going on? Really, really?

Yes, one of his parents was black....and? I'm sure that the BBC reporters get bonus points for a story with a black person in it about the, "man starts work today" story. Double points if they actually interview a black american.

Am I alone in being absolutely sick & bored over this story. Yes - there's something to celebrate - "Man finds work in recession"....but can I hear about some other story in the news? I didn't see anything of the Stig's identity being revealed and *that* surely is breaking news.

Most people see it as a new start for American life. It may not be, but its worth a try.

No not really, as it really is a huge moment in American history.

What he says and does, can effect the rest of the world (hence us) so yes, its fairly important.

I didn't even know he took control until yesterday, when it was on a newburst on tv.

If you don't like it, turn off Sky News :p
