Stick (http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/s/1091743_cop_in_fall_horror)

Have a look at this and ask yourself, is it worth it?

The lad he was chasing hasn't been prosecuted for any offence, from what I know, rightfully so. He just ran off.

What a set of pictures though! Lucky, lucky young man....

Stay safe!

Pete

THis made me worry.

"Pc Nash added: "I would do the same again tomorrow. I love my job. I've always wanted to be in the police. It sounds corny but I've always wanted to help people.""

I mean wtf, you would give chase and injure yourself again? They sure he doesn't have brain damage.

Also Rebecca said: "I think it's just a miracle. I'm so proud of what he's done."

Proud of him stabbing his eye!

If that guy he chased was inclined to be evil, he could of easily made that stick go further in.

Risky business, def. stay safe out there.

Dang thats just nasty, I mean though how could you not notice WTF!

I once chased someone across the road, but the traffic was more less not moving, ran between the gaps my not so slim pantner arrived a little bit later.

Anyway he got charged and got found guilty.

I mean I like my job, but I also going home too the way I started.

In my job we do some part of the emergency responder training. Its a bit higher than just first aid.

One of our trainers used a scenario where two screwdrivers ended up in his eyes. Don't ask me how it would have happened in real life, we just thought he was taking the training tOO far!

But seeing this picture shows things like this can happen.

Lucky lad & speedy recovery

He didn't even twig that he had something in his eye. If he'd been a dog handler at least he would have noticed the bark. Sapped his strength good and proper.

You wood have thought that when the stick broak off, he would have felt it resinating in his head? I mean was it honestly that dark for him to not realise that he had lost sight in one of his eyes?

Obviously not very good at climbing the tree of success, maybe he should turn a new leaf and branch out into other areas. I'll bet he was bushed after the chase.

"Although John was extremely lucky, I suppose it shows the dangers that officers across Greater Manchester face on a daily basis."

What, do they only have branches and grass slopes in Manchester? From what I've seen, there aren't enough branches and grass banks in Manchester...

The current Mrs Woz was on A&E reception the night they brought him in (before Christmas - can't see why it's taken so long for the story to break ) and said it was the most gruesome thing she'd ever seen.

And she looks in the mirror every morning.

Disclaimer - if I leave my pc logged in and you read this my darling... I was just kidding.
