Got my bike delivered today, couple of vids, showroom pics and delivered pics on there. I wasn't there to see it arrive so haven't started it yet, really lookin' forward to the weekend so i can go ride about for a bit :)
If you go back to the main album there's the pics of my old semi-battered cage if you want a bit of damage porn.
Cheers!

Thanks guys!
Weather ain't gonna be good i don't think but that won't stop me startin' it up and doin'... nothing, if it's not raining i'll **** about a bit.
I asked them to do a good clean and polish but it's a bit disappointing. At least it gives me something to do.

I started the bike just now, revving it a bit, some dude looked out the window, i like to think he's jealous, but i'm probably just annoying :) i'm a happy boy!

NOOOOOOOOOOO :( my test is on Friday and i can't wait.
I fooked up the other day though, and did my first bit of dodgy engineering!
After running the bike for a few minutes, as i've been doing since i got it, i tried to put the cover back on. In doing so, the catch at the bottom which attaches the sides together got caught on the exhaust and promptly melted itself to the downpipe.
With all my background in motorbikes (zer0) i knew exactly what to do! I ran it for a bit, waited for it to melt, and wiped it off. I was so proud :')

I did that with my waterproof trousers when I was stretching my legs on a long ride. A big black splodge on the pipe.
I just left it for a few weeks then autosol'd the last wee bits.
Your way sounds easier

Oh dear, lesson learnt there methinks ;) at least you have sorted it now.
Good luck for your test on Friday :-D

Not so bothered about the strap on the cover :p i was more bothered about the whole thing setting alight when i left it. Certain amounts of paranoia come with having an un-insured bike sitting in a car park for weeks on end :/ let's hope Friday comes and goes without a hitch.
Cheers :)

Get it insured now!
if your not getting it insured make sure you lock it securely up.

Disc lock, cover, HD padlock and HD chain, out of the way, secure car park. Haven't got a garage but i think it'll last a week.

What difference does it make if you insure it now? If your going to be paying it in a week anyway, why not do it now? If it gets nicked you're screwed
Sorry don't mean to be pushy but it just seems daft not to insure it

Yeh but i'm broke... haha.
I know exactly what you mean, i've taken as many steps as poss to make sure nothing happens to it but until i have even a scrap of money i can't do anything else.
I don't get paid until Wednesday.
