i just got a 5kg bag of potatos from aldi's

there is 24 potatos in the bag, and only 4 look edible, and they dont look too good.

the rest are scabby, mouldy, and soft

i was just going to throw them out, but, im going to e-mail aldi now instead
what would you do?

take them back to the shop and get them exchanged or a refund as you'd do with anything else.

well....personally id probably just throw them...49p aint they or something there advert says...but out of principle taking them back and swapping isnt a bad option...

but...

emailing them is a good shout....u never know what you might get...

a mate of mine emailed rowntrees last year..complaining that in his pack of fruit pastils....2 of the colours were missing..and these colours were his favs....he recieved a rediculous amount of fruit pastils after emailing them plus a £10 voucher for something or other....so you never know!

take them back, dont let them away with it

I have got to the stage now that I check every receipt before I leave the shop or at worst, before I leave the car park.

The worst is my local Asda, 3 times out of 4 shop trips over xmas I was overcharged by at least 2 quid either on items wrongly priced or double scanned, not as if they were busy either as its usually after midnight that I shop.

Take 'em back!
Go tooled up - with a spud gun.
Show them you mean business.

We have some seed potatoes chitting in egg boxes on the kitchen window sill. First earlies, they are - Arran Pilot I think. They're nearly ready for planting. Idea is to plant them up in pots so that they're ready in April/May and so we don't have to pay rip off prices for Jersey Royals.
