A skydive - i so want to! Just not sure about costs & where to go...New zeland looks awesome! My mates been there - but i cant honestly believe it would be as beautiful in england?!!

You have to do it tandem, you have to do a good few dives before you can go solo.

I'd love to but I do wonder if I'd get up there and just chicken out lol!

Can you go tandem with a mate after a few times or does it always have to be a professional?

He he.Long way to go for a skydive!

I done mine in a place called March in the fens not too far from you. Get it done! It's the best thing you'll ever do. I really want to do another.

I'll have a look to see if I can find where I done it.

I've just remembered. I saw a load of the instructors from there on telly a few years ago jumping in the nude!

yes yes yes...i want to do one.....

i posted a thread in this section recently about it...

me and the mrs will be doing one together (tandem, so strapped to a professional) in may, is our birthday present to eachother.....I hate heights....but i WILL do it! and its in england!

and that will be another tick off the things to do before you die list.....:-)

Dappa so am I afraid of heights! I've done a few bunjee jumps. I HATE going up but love the coming down. WIth a skydive I found it so surreal I was so much less scared than a bunjee. Enjoy!

cheers mate, dont know if you seen the other thread i started.....i used to work in cyprus for a good few yeas and was mates with the guys that run the bungie at nissi bay so could have free jumps....i went up so many times and couldnt jump!! what a wuss lol

however....i think it may be different in a plane,....strapped to someone....and watching my mrs jump first...no way will i bottle it....im excited..although bricking it also!!!

i'd love to say i'd be up for it, i'd love to but for the same reason stated aboove, i'd poop me trolleys, not have the minerals to go through with it

Who says she will jump first! haha..
I guess you dont have much of a choice once your up there though, the professional will have all control really.
Id be so nervous but once youve done it it'll feel great!

That's the reason I did one. Knowing that you can push yourself when your brain says 'NO!'. It's a great experience. Just book one, and worry about it later ;)

Get it done,did one last year was called Black knights skydive centre,was not far from Lancaster. Was scared to death but as i did it for charity and had a lot of sponsors,raised around 1,250 pound didn't really have a choice,the instructor told me if i had second thoughts,don't get in the plane because once i'm in,there's only one way down!!!! It cost around 200 for a tandem,one of the best things i've ever done.
Apart from buy an SV of course!!!!;)
