Cant see suzuki keeping building SV,s forever and with the new Gladius coming along Suzuki may well be moving away from the SV format, what do think will happen to the ORG. ? I mean if we keep on going eventually we will turn into a classsic bike site :), I can just see Yorkie Chris with a flat cap and a woodbine dispensing SV wisdom to all the fresh faced SV restorers around ;) but do we have a future ? hope so, whats your thoughts ? btw its just for fun, not meant to be too serious

...... eeeee and if ya wanna scare old laydeez I am suggesting you fit one of these, by the means of cable ties and matt black paint...lol

seriously though, people ask me why I own two. One of mines already getting hard to find decent colour parts for, still trying to find that perfect condition left fairing panel, without cracks and bits missing, and its nearly 10 year old.

We'll all sign up to my Adventure Motorcycling network where amongst other things there's a forum functionality.

Just working on the styling now. 80% of the work has been done for the first stage roll out.

I'm not that much of a weirdo. I know someone who did that to a 100th aniiversary Harley and the paint fell off!
I'm just completely comfy with my SVs, and TBH I have no desire to replace them. If someone won the lottery I would compliment them with a Xtra Rap of course;) .

I kinda doubt the gladius will be the replacement but it's all down to sales figures at the end of the day. Suzi does seem to keep bikes in production long after they should have stopped tho - the GS500 is the most obvious case in point, so I guess the SV has some life left in it yet.

Either way, Suzi effectively created the market for characterful, reasonably competent, reasonably cheap middleweights and it's been a staggeringly succesful market, so much so that other manufacturers are all jumping on board - there will be something similar in this market for a long time to come.

Personally I'm wondering if I should be shot for being tempted by:

i think we'll be known as

the .org formerly known as..

then simply the .org

then after a year or two in the wilderness back to sv650.org

Since a good 70% of all the posts on the .Org now seem to be inane chat, or similar un-bike-related drivel, I often think the future's here, and it's none too orange.

I would agree with Dan, a load of people on here have already moved on from an SV. Its probably a bit like Pistonheads this place in that it was originally a TVR forum but is now a general petrolheads forum. I think this over time will become the same provided that the core of posters remain and we attract new people to it. To do that (in time) it may have to change its name though...... 2wheelsnot4.org?
