What I got up to today....

Sadly not very exciting, was tantalisingly close to the border patrol meet too but was with a friend and I'm too shy. Anyway, I was down in the valley taking some pics, we had planned a trip to do so for a while but it turned out really nice.
I took 357 pictures in total, about 25 turned out "nice" heh :D (thank goodness for digital)

Point taken re the fire extinguishers :), I noticed that, might have a go at shopping them out later.

looks like the same train that they have on the Worth Valley line. The black n white ones excellent.
I loved taking my little lad up for a day on the steam train, if only to capture his little smile on camera with the driver in the cab

Llangollen is that? My uncle drives the steam trains there, been on the footplate of the Flying Scotsman there with him when I was younger :)

Nice pics , I went through Llangollen today about 12:30 ish and didn`t see much train Activity . I decided to go to the BP meet the scenic route and the A5 was chock full of slow drivers so they must have been on their way to this . A couple of those pics are awesome and the signal box one would be spot on if the safety Ciggy sign and Fire Extinguishers were absent , you would never know when it was taken , nice work there :)

Crikey this got more response than I expected overnight.
Good point I forgot to actually state where it was, as most have gathered it was Llangollen Railway.
Wasn't a special event though just the usual Sunday steam service, checked a timetable and my friend and I headed out there to take some pictures :)

Thanks for the tip myc, I knew there was one at some point but thought it had already passed.

MrUKI: that sounds cool! I was taking a series of them for the first picture there as it was moving off, as I finished and looked up the train rumbled by my head! bit closer than I expected :D

ah well was a good morning out and I'm pleased that I got some nice ones, need to find more events to attend now :)
