Cheers ogden, I'll top up before the ride itself. I'll try not to linger too much...........im sure i'll be ok, i was ok on the annual rideout
weather forcast is promising
Don't worry, I will be riding a barge (also fitted with top box  ) so you should be able to keep up.
I'm coming - everyone'll keep up.
Won't be able to make this, a friends Christening is happening at the same time on Sunday :(
Hope it all goes OK.
I am on nights tonight so might as well pop to the Ace first for brekkie and meet up with whoever is meeting there.
If anybody turning up at the Ace can just confirm so I don't go there for nothing as it is in the opposite direction from the Shire...

In case they don't answer you here, Soulkiss & Alpine star hero were meeting there leaving at 9 - there's a thread in Soho sect.
Cheers Stu. Greasy brekkie it is then.
I'm wide awake courtesy of a dose of "non-drowsy sudafed" taken last night.
Though not quite as wide awake as I was at 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5am.
Bagsy me on the ditch-surfing sweepstake!

I had the fortune/mis-fortune of driving all along the FOT yesterday evening between 6-10pm and saw only 2 bikes!

damn suzuki cheesium crap.
I hope you all had a good, safe ride. I was thinking of you - and of ASM
Some but not all of the people and bikes that attended the ride today. Thanks to everyone that turned up. Thanks to Patrick for leading the ride. Thanks to Tonyk for being rear gunner. Sorry to have heard about your argument with the car. Glad you kept it rubber side down.
It was a good turn out and Debs & Pete would like to pass on their thanks also. Excellent day. It went well. :thumright:

The others may be some time before they reappear, having turned the wrong way at the roundabout on the Marlow-Henley road. Fools!

Yeah, my email address changes every time I move house too.

I just got back from Stafford. Glad to hear it went well, and that is a lot more bikes that I expected to turn up! I will be there on Tuesday to have a natter about it.

Sorry I missed it. I made my best effort to make it, but was outdone by my own numptiness.
Long story short(ish) - noticed that the bike was a bit low on oil this morning, so had to abandon meeting at the Shire to go buy oil instead. Top up done, I set off to try and catch you at the Horse & Jockey. I'd done about 15 miles when I remembered that I'd had the oil filler cap turned just enough to catch on its thread while checking the level... maybe I'd forgotten to tighten it up? I looked down: the black hole blowing oil all over my leg told me I'd definitely forgotten to tighten it . Spend the next hour and a half sunbathing at the side of the road waiting for the missus to bring supplies...
It felt weird nodding at riders when I didn't have a helmet on. I didn't want to wave in case they thought I needed help. I was grinning like an idiot when I recognised KnightRider and realised I was getting a TVSF fly-past :D

How'd you get through more than one?
probably a baby sick Hornet
Is baby sick a colour, or was it small and broken? I think I remember seeing a dark red Honda. Of course, having missed the Gixxer, I assumed that was Ogden :-)

Ah, you were parked up on the other side of the road, right? I Poss. somewhere near Bicester?
I thought the face looked familiar.

Great ride chaps and many thanks to Debs and Pete for the hospitality. Was good to blow the cobwebs off to get rid of the winter riding habits. :)
A message from Deb's I received via email
Pete and I would like to thank you for arranging Mark's memorial ride yesterday. We know that you are busy at this time. Please also pass on our thanks to all the guys and girls that chose to attend the ride. It really was such a lovely gathering and we enjoyed meeting so many of Mark's friends and acquaintances again. I do wish that you all could
have taken a couple of cans of beer - you need to bring those bungy sacks that you put on the bikes with you next year! I took some flowers to Shillingford on Sunday morning and the site really does look so nice. Somebody has put up a new sign and the words are very touching - I was worried that everybody would just forget about Mark and he would just become a distant memory, but I don't think that he will now. THANK YOU
I would also like to mirror that thanks. I know some of you cancelled appointments and arrangements to be there yesterday and others travelled quite some distance. It was most appreciated.
Same again next year folks. :thumright:

Aw that's really nice to hear. Was it Debs that planted all the flowers at the site? It looked amazing when I rode past on Friday, I think it was a wonderful idea.
No way are we forgetting Mark, he made sure of that!

I can't guarantee I'll be able to attend every year but there is no way we could ever forget such a character.
I have an amusing memory of riding behind Mark and everytime his stripey boxer shorts were flapping in the wind!
Makes me chuckle everytime.
Jeez Dan, I am trying to get the picture of offset ar5e sticking out of his leathers out of my mind. If only he would have zipped the jacket to the trousers I would have been able to sleep without nightmares.
A great day out though. Thanks to all involved in making the day so pleasant.

Hmmmm all the way from The Shire to Guilford....
Plus one for the thanks all.

Wow, did you actually get a ruler out?! That looks perfect.
Imagine what it would have looked like with a beaten up K3 naked there.....
Perish the thought.
Only jesting, it's a shame you couldn't make it.

It was actually a curve but the hideous monstrosity on the far left is bending the light.
