+1 to that! I ordered the Micron system from George Whites too!
Both the front header bolts sheared off! So I ended up drilling them out and re tapping the threads!
Oh and also the link pipe is 57mm OD IIRC, so check if you need to modify your can. I managed to get hold of some 60mmOD (57mm ID)stainless pipe, so I TIG'd that on instead of the existing 50mm.

What diameter are the micron down pipes? I have a hi-level Leovince and if I could get the microns to fit I'd buy them.

Best full system for the curvy is leo vince, or chances are you will be able to get a stock one very cheaply.

xxbadgerxx will be owed a big thanks from me. Ebay has saved me £££'s and i even bagged some M8 stainless for free today :D

On a vaguely standard engine yes.

I've got pointy cams so looking to hit 72bhp. Will be going for a Hindle or M4 system I think. But if I could have got a Micron on for a ton that would have been acceptable!

Which diameter measurement are you after matey? :D

Diameter of the down pipes and I supose the link pipe. I have a hi level Leovince hare and was going to buy the rest of the system but those microns are cheap if they would fit my can. I know the M4/leovince headers are bigger than standard and wanted to know if the microns are the same.

If you can wait until tomorrow I'll take down all the measurements and post them here.
It's a bit dark out at the moment you see...

I'll save you the trouble. Downpipe/header diameter is 38mm and link pipe diameter is 52mm
Mines got a Scorpion end can which fits fine on the link pipe

but those microns are cheap
They are a budget system, not a performance system.
link pipe diameter is 52mm
All the budget UK exhaust will fit onto the Micron link pipe.

The headers (out of the cylinder heads) are indeed 38mm OD.
The outlet where you slip the link pipe onto is indeed 52mmOD.
However, the high level link pipe supplied with this is 57mm OD.
I had to modify my blueflame by cutting off the the original fitting, and Tig-ing on a section of 57mm ID stainless tube.
But I would imagine if you only want to use the headers and your own link pipe, other budget systems will fit?

That is the diameter of the link pipe at the bottom (under the footrest), yes?

Its a different link pipe to my high level Micron system. Yours is higher and has a different bracket to support the end can. On my system, the passenger footrest is retained, by using spacers suplied by Micron.
My link pipe still has a 52 mm OD at the end, because I swapped from a low level to high level Micron system without any mods to my Scorpion end can
I post some pics when I can

Do you mean using them on the Micron headers?
Dunno
Anything is possible with a crow bar :p
All I can suggest is measure your CCC link pipe and see what the diameter is. At least you know it will fit the Micron headers.
Then you can play around with the link pipes to see if you CCC link pipe will be compatible with the way the Microns angle it.

Micron headers are 52mm at the link pipe

i thought i could get away with it as it has the exhaust jubilee like clips which read something like 50-55mm and 55-60mm so thinking i could just adjust as necessary. It was going to be the first thing i was planning on was removing the can and trying it on the link pipe away. should be okay anyway and if not then it will become okay.
maviczap

Aye, the exhaust clamps on the Microns are stamped the same I think. If they are a bit loose then a shim made out of a coke cake will help it bite.
Not sure if jubilee clips is the correct description though, but I know what you mean

but i think first call will be to go for the can on the pipework before i try to get the pipework off.

Not my bike, sourced the image from Google, I don't like Micron exhausts at all. The one in the picture has the proper pipe work throughout, maybe yours is twisted out a bit more making it appear lower. The clamp bolting the silencer to the subframe is the official Micron mounting set-up.

As you said you can retain the pillion pegs, Micron supply to spacers and two longer bolts which bring the pillion peg further out clearing the link pipe (the pillion peg does not connect to the exhuast on the high level system).

Nope the bracket on my Micron system hangs futher down, and uses the bolt from the rear brake reservior as the anchor point on the subframe. It also bends round the loops in the subframe.
The bracket on this one is shorter than mine.
Micron must have jiggled about with the length of link pipe and can hanger bracket.

Nope, no changes as the Curvy system was only made in one year.

Even accounting for the Micron can and the difference in the can strap, I don't think mine would be the same height as the one in your picture DD3099

Fitted. Went together well but i made a few silly mistakes.
First off forgot to WD40 the bolts the night before but it was okay.
Secondly when doing up one of the clips i hadn't put the pipework together properly and it snapped. Luckily spare off the can's link pipe.
But it sounds lush without the baffle in too
Thank you to xxbadgerxx.
Anyone wanna buy a Pointy OEM pipework? :P

Looks the same to me, bear in mind the bracket has a little bit of adjust-ability in it.

One warning to make, the micron high level pipes in a wonderful piece of design are in the wrong place to accommodate rearsets.
