...a cheap B&B on the Isle of Wight. Shanklin or Lake area would be good...just for me (no wife or kids)...therefore slum conditions may be acceptable provided the price is right and they're not taking the wee wee...
Ideally located near/adjacent to/in a bar that has gallooons of ale etc!!
Gor blimey guvnor....has the IOW been cast adrift and is as we speak making its way across The Skaggerak?!?:D

We stayed at Wood End B&B just outside Yarmouth. They were really friendly and cooked us an awsome breakfast. They also loved the bikes, so they've obviously got taste :P
their number is 01983 760221

Why Shanklin? Aparantly its the roughest area on the island.
But if thats not a problem, perhaps something like this. http://www.roseglen.co.uk/tariff.htm
How does £32 a night sound? (i'm not sure how good that it)
This one is £30 a night. http://www.sundowner.iowight.com/
Those are the cheapest options i could find, but you may want to look through this list http://www.isleofwight.com/isle_wight_bb.html
Thanks guys. I was looking at Shanklin/Lake area as I have relatives there...and I would be on my own.
Howeverdotcom - the missus now thinks it might be an interesting little jaunt because "I'd quite like to go there..." which of course now means that I/she will have to source 'suitable' accom that has a pool (preferably heated), has good reviews on trip advisor, is 'the right price', child friendly, has car parking blah blah blah...:(.
I just want to get on the bike and sod off...no hassle until I get back!!:D
I have never been to the IOW
I have never been to the IOW
TBH you're probably not missing much...however bits of it do keep snapping off and falling into the murky depths adjacent to it...you might want to go whilst there's still something left to see!!:-D:smt104
