Summer's coming, apparently, so that means I have to run another rideout  Dizzyblonde will shout at me if I don't. So, here is the dates poll for the 2009 Glencoe Massacre
http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=124589
The exact location isn't yet set in stone- while we do have the option of running out of the same campsite/hotel/wigwam/b&b setup of last year I'm hoping to find somewhere to improve on that already high standard. So, I can't yet tell you exactly where we'll be, but the campsite should be within an hour or so of Glasgow or Edinburgh, so it'll be within one day's ride of most of England.
The format will be the same as last year, meaning there'll be one long rideout on the saturday, and there should also be a second rideout on the sunday. The saturday ride will be designed to be accessible to all- It'll not just be a short roll around the block, as there's no point in riding all the way to Scotland to do a quick run after lunch, but at the same time the route will be one that anyone can ride, perhaps with more difficult sections as alternative loops like we did last year.
Last year's was a huge success, or so I'm told ;) This year will be better!
So, before we can finalise anything else we need to know when it's actually going to be. We're down to one of three weekends in June, so, vote away

The most important bit is that June is NOT midge season  It's also drier than august in scotland, though the nice days are less nice.

 You don't know how happy that makes me (and no doubt the rest of the potential Massacre attendees) to read that :notworthy: :D

I love midges, I'm disappointed that we're going to miss them.
They didn't bother us at all. Skin So soft really works, and I've got loads left:D

How mean do you think we are! Best interests at heart and all that hehe :-D Although saying that, YC could be looking for a bit of sweet revenge after that cleaning stunt that was pulled last time
(Joking obviously)

I've voted, but I'm not 100% sure if I'll be able to go, trying not to make plans at the mo till I know that my wrist is healed properly.
I want to go, if its like last years, it'll be fricken ace.

Yes, anyone who'd do that is an utter barsteward. Someone who would take the pi$$ just as the filler cap clicks shut is even worse.

You're just worried that you're going to end up walking round a petrol station with Pete trying to get rid of 16 litres of diesel again:D

The strangest thing was how hard it was to give away! The locals were incredibly suspicious of something free.
I may be up for this as it doesn't infringe on my leave too much:rolleyes:

The locals were having a mass brawl over it just out of sight. The people you spoke to were tourists.
