Added handguards today, bit of a bargain, busters off road sale £12.99, perhaps not the pretties of things, but robust to say the least.

It's a CCM 404ds , comes in either enduro or supermoto form, basically a DRZ400E compatition engine, full WP suspension, brembo brakes, yoshi system.

Made up in Bolton, so although not a Triumph, still flying the flag.

Cheers Mark.

I wouldn't have it as an only bike, but as a second one it's blindingly good fun, suspension is a dream and it's so light and flickable to.

For the avoidance of doubt am I right in saying DRZs are made by Suzuki, so this a British company that make their own bike based on a Suzuki engine of about 400cc 4 stroke.

Do CCM make anything else?

Furry Muff on the handguards  but the Bulldogs & K&N
& the eyes I hope you were taking them off & not putting them on :pukel:

Hi Mark, used to own one of these myself. Wicked fun, but you wouldnt want to ride far on it?

Used to take me half an hour to extract the bike from my behind after a ride!

Do your clocks work properly? In the year I had mine, i never had them working the same way twice!

Will post a couple of pics of mine if I can find em.

Incidentally, I had the bike for a year, and sold it for £300 more than I paid for it! Not many bikes that you do that on. :)

yeah they basically have two ranges one based around the DRZ engine, but unlike the DRZSM or S it's the E engne which was never used in any suzuki road bikes ( the E was developed for the Australian compatiton market as and enduro machine), the other is based on the freewind single 644cc ( which they used to replace the aging Rotax 600 (604cc) lump.

they also do over-bored versions (450cc & 710cc)

they also do a couple of 125cc machines and two new models at 250cc.

some of the DRZ engined range.

Yeah clocks are fine, was yours etup correctly ? I was pleasently surprised at how comfortable it actually was, I expected it to be like one of those KTM planks, but it's ok, done a couple of hours in the saddle without any problem.

Got a crap headlight as standard which is why I've changed it, and the indicator switch isn't a "push to cancel" type which is mildly annoying, but I aim to change that, but apart from that well pleased.

Didnt get a manual with mine so i probably didnt set the clocks up right.

Took mine off road quite a bit too, as you can probably tell by the, er, sort of "legal" back tyre! :D

All the Ft35s`s I have seen have been a ridiculous price , Loving your CCM there Rictus , I saw the exact same model in Colwyn Bay motorcycles a couple of years ago and liked it then and it was earmarked as one bike I would like to own as a secondary bike , then I saw an R30 in Black and liked that , then a KTM , then something else , I will grab one of these some day soon and was thinking of having one as a winter bike and general baffoonery machine :)

the FT35's are a limited edition (150 I think) as it was originally made for the 2006 short circuit championship (which it won), the factory still have a few and some out at dealers, but rare, the engine/carb and main frame are the same as the 404, if I keep mine for long enough I might look at getting a tank made to replicate it :smt102, seat unit shouldn't be a problem either.

Cheers Mark.
