Anyone know their planets in the sky? Over the last month or so i've noticed a large bright star (well Planet) in the sky, from around 5pm-7pm odd. The last two nights its been sat around the moon for a while, and given the moon at the moment, it looks quite cool. You can see the faint outline of the moon.

I got a rubbish pic on my phone last night below. I know its the year of space n all that, but not really finding anything about it. It wasn't there end of last year ;)

It's definittely Jupiter. Soon you'll see Mars - watch for a bright pinkish light in the western sky at dusk.

Doesn't it make you feel very, very small:cool:

I saw that last night and wished that I'd had a camera with me. I didn't know which planet it was, but it was the only thing visible in the sky apart from the moon.

It'll be back tomorrow night.

Just look south. Its the only star visable jsut as it gets dark, and by far the brightest in the sky. Only up until around 7pm odd though.

Nice Ed, Westerly, I'll keep a nosey on that.
