View Full Version : Breakfast??
Just trying to guage interest before I investigate the idea further.
Please vote for your preference for breakfast at the AR
Either
Yes you want breakfast and would be willing to pay a bit for it
or
No, I'll sort myself out ta.
Nothing binding here. I'm just seeing what the .Org's thoughts are

greasy fry up in the pub for a small fee might be a tempter;)
Seems strange to go out hunting for food when we could have it near the tents. :)
As long as it's reasonable then yes. I can't imagine a fry up being that pricy though. I don't fancy tinned sausages and beans on a gas stove.

Sounds good to me - I'm never up early enough to go & organise anything myself so if it's all laid on for us it gets my vote!

If I came alone then something like a fry-up in the pub would be good, if it was reasonably priced. However if Ibby (Mrs Madness) comes along we would probably sort ourselves out as she is a vegetarian.

ive only voted once but there may be 2 of us....but yes defo a breakfast....
do you mean full english?
ie bacon, sausage, blackpudding, egg, etc?
I don't know yet what it'll be. My plan was to take potential numbers to the Landlord and see if it tempted him to provide breafast food for us.

3 rashers Bacon, 2 sausages made with pig meat and not fat/cereal, 2 fried eggs runny, black pudding, mushrooms, beans, tomato served with a mug of hot strong tea. Put gut bucket wilky down for 2. (On one plate mind). Or would I have to go back for a second helping.
I love those hotels that simply fill the bins at breakfast and let you pig out enough to skip lunch
Whoops, forgot my fried bread to dip in my eggs.
OK noted. Many people seem to suggest the full works is a good plan. I'll put that to him

if thats too much fuss
i would settle for bacon/sausage baps
but coffee is more important
Absolutey, totally agree that good coffee is essential!
Black pudding - bleh!!!! Yucky Northern muck ;)

soft southerner. A good pork butcher uses every part of the pig apart from the squeek. Black pud is an essential part of a good breakfast, served with mustard it is delicious
A nice bit of quiche and salad, perhaps?

That would lack the key ingredient needed for any breakfast...grease! :)

cooked breakfast sounds great!
OK then due to overwhelming demand there will be breakfast available. It's unlikely to be the full menu English but probably more like bacon butties, egg butties and tea/coffee. This will be available on the saturday and sunday at a small cost.

Cool, cheers for sorting this Messie. :) It'll make life a lot easier than AR06 was, shooting off to grab breakfast at the nearest place, then back to the campsite only to find out the rideout was starting from where I just ate my breakfast. :(
Can you stick the cost of breakfasts in the Costs thread (once you find out the costs involved obviously)? I'll check that thread before packing you see. :)

if this is a numbers count, add 2 more.
thanks
Don't worry, none of these current threads are contractual lol!. We've just been asking questions to get a rough idea of numbers for planning.
If and when we need definates I'll let you all know
