so i was on my way to crewe tonight-

just turned off the bottom of the 500 near crewe and was turning on to a lovely bit of road (in the car) between M6 and Shavington where I always turn off the music (yes take that or west life) scoot the window down and give it some beans and listen to the roar,,, my car is quite nippy in situations like that-

so, booooom away I went 2nd gear nearly red lining at 7K revs and touching 70mph change gear ready for the next surge- lovin it.. then BOOOOM ....... a merc AMG come from nowhere flew past me and made me feel like I was goin backwards..

by the time I reached the roundabout at the Whychwood golf course he was gone... and I was nearly cryin.....

ha............ I felt like a kid on a pushbike..

so if you think you good- theres always someone better.

And the Alfa weighs what, 1250 kg +, about 150 bhp? Not hard to have in anything with 200 bhp +, you need a Scooby in your life, or maybe an S2000 for the image ;)

What AMG was it, the A class one ;-)

My mate has the AMG CLK 63 Black and it is seriously fast, he's had some fast cars before (F430, 911 (996 and 997) Vantage etc) but this is seriously quick round the bends and on the straights. No shame in feeling slow in the Alfasud (is this the model you drive) ;-)

No, but I believe that the Brabus version has had some turbo work, although I'm no Smart expert. What you really want is a bike engined one though, or a V8 based on bike engines...

The Smart Brabus has two normal smart engines bolted together to make a single V6. At least thats my understanding of it.

I think the production Brabus Smart was just a tuned Smart engine, the V6 was a prototype/demonstration vehicle, I found this:

(in my dreans officer) i was doing 140 in my A4 special edition on the m5 feeling like the dogs. slightly anxious in case that car 1/4 mile ahead pulls over when i was passed by a continental gt my heart sank as those oval lights dissapeared making me look like i was doing 70, so i lifted my foot dropped to a ton and started looking for some saxos to race.............. to regain some self esteem

The new Jag XFR is where its at for obscenely easy speed, had one up to 175mph in a flash whilst being oh so comfortable and listening to the V8 do its thing. An absolutely fabulous car.

And before people call me a liar, I work at JLR and it was out on the test track in an unrestricted pre production car.:smt072
