I prefer it to the sticky cover as this one cover the whole side of the tank too

The new paint looks great, the rim tape compliments it well. But the tank cover looks like a pair of leather pants.

Does look sleek in it's new coat of paint.

Another one against the Tank Bra. Can you not fit some of that clear helicopter tape or Venture tape as I believe it's marketed as.

i reckon a plain black tank protector would set it off a treat against the orange.

If it's moving about it might do more harm than good compared to a normal tank pad. Watch you don't get dirt or anything behind it

that colour is lovely, i like the way you've sprayed the hugger as well, really stands out.
tank cover is errr, unique. indifferent on that one. Mirrors do make it look like a snail with the eyes on stalks, then again i have the same mirrors :smt083

you've done a cracking job on it, well done

Nicee,, loving the orange some nice touches. It's a real shame the mirror stems aren't abit smaller they would have been perfect then.. Great job!!!

I got all the parts at trade price through work so not very expensive. The paint job however I got done for free but I had to supply the paint....good to know people in the right places.

I would say the whole thing must of cost me around £200

The gixxer k8 mirrors dont fit straight on cos the mounts are different. The mounts on the SV fit on the k8 mirrors but put them in a stupid position, so I brought a set of gixxer k4 mirrors. I used the k4 mirror mounts on the k8 mirrors and bobs your uncle....

Yes, A mate of mine did his ZX9 in a similar colour from spray cans.

Preparation is the key. Wasn't as good as a body shop job, but it was fine.

He got his paint from a car paint surplier in aersol cans
