I just sold my car which I've owned for 4 years...this was a BMW 5 series Auto/Tiptronic.

The car had given me trouble free driving most of the time, and now it is gone I feel a little sad.

Anyone felt the same way...when they sold a vehicle? :(

The big question is what are you replacing it with?

I know the sad feeling, leaving my old 309 Gti was hard, as was selling my twin turbo scooby, which was done over the phone, I wasn't even there to wave it off....

Well seeing as my misses has a car I have no need for one, but I'm hoping with a mind thrilling sv650 very shortly.

That should change the frown to a wide grin

well, not quite because it wasnt my bike

but when i was walking home form the local park back in 1996, i saw a stranger riding off down the road on my dads CB750

my dad had just sold it

that made me sad, because its the first bike i can really remember

I get that feeling too when i spot a lovely bike and think of all the attention and care I could give it, aswell as all the riding i ould do on it

but no, some sod will buy it and thrash it from cold and never lubricate the chain and generally make it suffer :(

sold my vauxhall carlton back in 88, as it hadn't done more than 3-4 runs in the previous year; as I had bikes and the Mrs had a fiat 127 (didn't like the carlton as it was to big for her), it seemed sensible, not had one since and not really missed it either, on the odd occasion I need one I can use either the wifes or brothers, so not a problem, but then I don't actually enjoy driving, but riding is a different story.

Cheers Mark.

Not sold, but I miss my MkIII Golf GTI, I loved that car and some d*ckhead drove into the back of it and wrote it off.

And I will feel just the same when I wave off my 528iSE too.

With hindsight the one car I wish I still had today was a BMW 2002tiit. At the time I owned it it cost a fortune to keep on the road but I was unaware that they only made 120RHD models,of which only about 30 are known of today, value is in the £30,000 mark
I do like Porsche but they have an adverse affect on my license
