I am currently have a bottle of this

http://www.beermerchants.com/B5284

its like drinking pop...but i have a feeling that it could all end terribly if i try and open the cherry one!!
I've never had a fruit beer before, are there any more like it that I should try?

Mrs Wyrdness really likes fruit beers. The Belgians brew beer in nearly every fruit flavour, including things like Passion Fruit.

We sometimes get the Melbourne Bros Strawberry beer in the summer for picnics. It's from Lincolnshire and is naturally fermented with airborne yeasts. Lovely served ice cold on a baking hot day.

I'll have a looksi in summer for that one Mr. Wyrd :-)

Forgot to mention that the Melbourne Bros fruit beers (they do cherry too - tastes like cough mixture, ugh!) are also sold by Sam Smiths (who own a share in the Melbourne Bros brewery).

IIRC Liefmans don't use fruit during the fermentation process, they just add raspberry (or cherry for their kriek) concentrate to a young lambic ale to get the flavour. You might as well drink lager & lime.

Try some oude geuze without the fruit (Boon isn't bad) - it's weird stuff, like beery champagne.

I LOVE the stuff!!!

Ones you want to try are:
Fruli (Strawberry) - by far the BEST fruit beer I've found to date, found in bottles but it's best if you can find it on draft (see here to find your nearest pub: http://www.frulibeer.com/frulipubs.asp)
Florisgaarden (Honey) - they also do other flavours, but they're the only one I've found to do the honey flavour! On the bottles it just says 'Floris'.
Timmermans (Peche Lambic / Peach) - Very refreshing.
Liefmans and Lindemans can be found in quite a few places, but I'm not as big a fan of those.

After much trial and tasting at the Bruges beer festival I found that Lindemans Kriek (cherry) or raspberry were my favourties! Both of which are now being sold in asda at a very reasonable £1.47!!

Badger do a beer called Poachers Choice (http://www.hall-woodhouse.co.uk/beers/badgerales/poacherschoice.asp), which has liquorice and damson. It's delicious and much better than it might sound. You can sometimes find it in supermarkets.

I also had a damson beer at a beer festival last year. Can't remember what it was called, but that was lovely too.
