View Full Version : Ipod frozen !!!
Help !!!
I’ve just done a few changes to Mrs Ratty’s ipod tunes, ejected it from the putor and hit shuffle. It’s frozen at the start of the first song and won’t respond to anything. Will not even turn off. I’ve reconnected it to the putor and still nothing. Should I just let it go flat and see what happens or is there something I can do. It’s a two year old nano, but hardly used really.

Sounds like it needs a reset, I cant remeber how to do it, but you need to hold down a couple of the buttons.
Have a google for it.

Fizz. You are the font of all knowledge. Google took me to Apple help and straight to a numpty guide. Now sorted. Thanks mate:cheers:.

You have to hold Play/pause and the central button, this will reboot the ipod:

Well it is quite cold outside, I expect a lot of things will freeze tonight! :)
- Sorry I know I've been no help, just couldn't help myself!

To hard reset it, lock it then unlock it, then hold down menu and middle button til it restarts.

Indeed, both of my Cowons have.
But they thoughtfullyinclude a reset button, identified in the manual as such and even labelled.
No need for 3-inger acrobatics, or trawling the iNternet (as I am sure Steve likes to think its spelled) just a straightened paperclip...............

Anyway ratty, I think you should start keeping your ipod indoors.

Your probably right Dave, but I bet it's colder on your side of the hill to mine. Mrs Ratty's Ipod now back to it's best. I've never had a problem with my newer one, but then it doesn't have to play stuff like Dianna Ross and M People :-D.
