I've recently got a Tom Tom Rider 2
Though I can program it a route via the unit, I didn't appear to get any software with it that enables me to create a route on my PC and then download it to the Tom Tom as a .rxf file. Can anyone point me in the direction of some preferably free software to enable me to do this. Could it be done from Google Maps or similar?

Been doing a bit of internet research and think I've got it sussed.
Routes can be planned on Google Earth and the converted using freeware known as T.Y.R.E. for uploading onto a Tom Tom.
I'll try it out tonight and let people know how it works.

I've downloaded TYRE and it's not a bad route planning tool. It uses google maps/google earth. You can add waypoints and calculate the distance, but the most important bit is that you can then download it to your Tom Tom. Great for rideouts and that Euro Tour, assuming you have a Tom Tom that is.

check this web page out if you want to know more or even download it.
