I gave a bike dealer a deposit on a brand new 09 plate bike, to be delivered on 28th Feb so I can go out and play from midnight on 1st March.

You'll all see it at AR09

 Are you sure you will know what to do with a new bike?

What bike? You keeping the CBR for track so is this just a road bike?

Lozzo

New road bike to replace the SV that I sold last week (being picked up by its new owner on Sunday, all going well)

I'm keeping the CBR as my trackbike, and selling everything else because I have a classic Suzuki TS250C arriving soon. I only want 3 bikes in the stable. The TS50Xs have been sold and collected but I still have a ZX-7R and a two Yamaha SR250s to sell.

OK, give us a bit more of a clue, make? It's not a Gladius is it ;-)

Apparently you're meant to go out to the garage and polish them or something... I dunno, it's been 10 years since I last owned a new bike, and the last new one before that was 10 years prior to that one, ad infinitum.

I buy a brand new bike to celebrate roughly the 10 year anniversary of passing my bike test. This is only the 4th brand new bike I've ever owned, including the one I owned when I passed my test.

I read that a 09 GSXR 750, not 90. Hmmm, you're not giving much away. Must be a R1 but don't want to tell because of the 'ugly' comments the bike might get ;-)

Push bike... :p

I bought one of those last year and used it twice before throwing the useless thing in the back of the shed... damn thing expects you to use your legs to make it go, how stupid is that?

If you don't, it's because you probably just bought one. ;)

Like the 998 relacing the 996...a sharp bike but "she ain't no beauty queen".

Just my 2 pence .....
Others may love it.

Anna, for one so pretty you can be cold and heartless at times, and to think that I once fancied the ar5e off you too ;).

There was me thinking that you would get the 600 miles in on the Sunday.......

And book the service now - my Dealer when I got the Z750 didn't have anything until April when I phoned in a week into March - they kind of had to find a slot for me for the 1st service.........

Lozzo
03-02-09, 06:06 PM
I will book the first service tomorrow morning, but tbh the dealer isn't that busy that he can't fit me in. If needs be I'll take it up there and do it myself with the techie supervising.

I see I was whooshed there.

So it's a bit like saying "I gave up driving when I bought a Renault" or "I gave up boozing when I started drinking Budweiser"?

Very similar analogy.

If it is an R1 can I have a go please ;-) I like them. BUt I'm guessing its maybe something different, maybe a KTM off road thing?
