So basically Lands end to John o Groats in one day. I know of a few poeple that have said they will try this.

Well, not quite...
I think its more like London to Manchester and back again but by a roundabout route. The other difficulty we have here is traffic. The route for the one in SA is very rural on some pretty good single carriageway A-roads.

I think something like that organised here would need to be shorter than the 1000km (approx. 625miles) they are using in SA.

I wouldn't like to organise it on my own but would most definately take part in it should something similar be organised.
