Just for info really, I received mine yesterday :D. Couldn't really find any useful pictures of it so thought I'd take some. I'll post some more up when it's fitted, whenever that might be! Anyway, hopefully someone will find them useful.

The red envelope is the lifetime guarentee. Also in shot is the link pipe and another link should I want to put the original can back on, you have to request that, but they supply it free.

I found beowulf very helpful and easy to deal with, so would recommend them. They had sold the last single can so split their remaining pair so I could have it. Asked for a specific day delivery too, and they accomodated that without question. Talked me through the fitting and any questions I had. Very happy with the service.

aye, i've got a beowulf stubby length oval can which is brilliant (and didn't cost the earth). Great service, great quality and amazing sound :)

I'd better find my red envelope as I'd forgotten about it until now

I've got a Beowulf can too - they sent me the link pipe without asking, and I am VERY impressed with the quality. A lot lighter than the OEM once too.

Great service too.

ah yeah that was the only thing, I didn't get a reconnection sleeve - i did ring them after fitting to ask about MOT/noise emissions etc and they said it should be fine but if I ever need to put the original one back on, to call them & they'll sort me out with the link...

top notch service all the same :)

i think the little companys give better service, try getting anything free off akra or yoshi.

they are also very helpful when needing new packing, as YC found out last week.

Made in Halifax....well we have to be good at something :-)

The only problem is the jubilee clip is made in Spain (wtf?).

Other than that perfect exhaust company :)

Is the black a fine sprayed paint finish?

Powder coated, although the one on my old mans Bandit 1250 doesn't look it and is fading.

It's all your fault b_1_rd. I had just recently decided that I was going to get a fuel, round exhaust. But now you've gone and thrown this into the equation, decisions decisions. :D

I just received my warrior exhaust. But I didn't find the small part pictured above. The one on the right side bellow slip on. Is it required? What is it for? It seems that link pipe fits into slip on.

Don't want to start cutting exhaust if I can't fit new one.

Also I noticed that link pipe is greasy from inside and has some small particles stuck in that grease. Should I clean it out or it's some kind of protective layer that's suppose to be in there?

BigFootIsBlurry

You need it if you ever want to refit the standard pipe, it makes up for the fact you took a hacksaw to it. I think they sent you one free if you ask them.

Yep, I had to ask for that. I'm sure they will send one out to you if you call them. You could go ahead and fit your new exhaust now with the longer piece shown on the left, as bigfootisblurry says you will only need the smaller part if/when you decide to refit the original back on.

Didn't notice any grease inside any of the parts I received, I would think it will just be a protective layer they put on while in storage. I doubt it would make any difference whether you cleaned it off or not. If the particles were to come off they would only be going one way, and thats out of the end of the pipe, no way they would make it back to the engine and cause any bother.

Enjoy your new exhaust :)

Beowulf are near me, I have been there several times and been very impressed with service and the general attitude of the folks there.

Ok I feel relieved now, thanks. Not planning to put the stock back on.

As of Beowulf I was pleased of service. Postage was a bit high, 40 quid to Lithuania, but it got here faster than usual and I got it handed personally to me instead of going to post office to get it. I guess Beowulf just wants to make sure that package gets to it's destination safely and surely.

So can recommend them on that part. Packaging was also good, with the shiny slip-on tugged in nicely.

I'll try to do one of those youtube before-after clips if I get a hold of camera and will take some pics to post them here, after I clean and polish the bike :)

Sticker

Are you sure? Mine looks like a paint. Might be very thin sticker though.

This is pic from their site:

Hi again, as I promised here is pics of my K4 SV and Beowulf warrior stainless. Sounds really awesome. Left the baffle in. Without the baffle the sound is nicer in low revs, bet when riding actively the sound gets a bit annoying, but depends on your taste ofc.

I measured weight of new parts:

Slip-on: 2161 grams,
Link pipe: 335 grams,
Tightening clip: 71 grams,
Retainer: 186 grams,
Totaling: 2753 grams or around 6.1 pounds.

Original cut-off piece : 5600 grams or around 12.4 pounds.
So about 3 kilos or 6.3 pounds lighter :)

+1 recommendation for Beowulf service. Shipped abroad with no problems, fast and safe.
