Apparently he can't say anything on the opposite side of the planet without offending people:mrgreen:
Scottish politicians have reacted angrily to comments made by Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson about Gordon Brown.
Speaking to journalists in Sydney, the presenter reportedly called the prime minister a "one-eyed Scottish idiot".
Gordon Banks, Labour MP for Ochil and South Perthshire, said the remark was "unforgivable". Scottish Labour leader Iain Gray also criticised Clarkson.

Two questions:
Has GB got one eye? Yes
Is GB Scottish? Yes
Sooo that means the only thing MP's have to argue about is if GB actually is in fact an idiot.

wellll Clarkson never minced his words..I find it all rather funny. All this political correctness is killing off humour. One day they'll have a chip that they stick in your head to ban all thoughts of comedy.

Just to confirm about Brown.

Sorry, but am i missing something other than some scottish goon bags (generec for anyone labour, and most in government), whinging about nothing again.
No wonder the UK is laughed at with goons like the above. Clarksons a plonker too, but i like the fact he says how it is and isn't scared by jolly old political correctness.

"Unforgivable"
Sorry, but anyone with more than 2 brain cells could work out that with everything bad in life, this is "unforgivable????"
Man, shut the F*ck up and get a life please. If you thinks thats unforgivable, how on earth would they react to come home to find their son/daughter p1ssed up on 2l of Strongbow cider????
Hang them publically???????
Again, shows me that politians care more about ratings than simple common sense, and another reason to seriously doubt the morals and efforts of polititions.
Where can I file an official complaint about said MPs????

The BBC need a f#ckin slap for being such a bunch of soft spineless c##ts. The whole truck driving one where the UK slags association or whatever it is had a whinge, what teh fook? Why would BBC even listen to them?
Yes, but that's a cracking apology isn't it?
He said: "In the heat of the moment I made a remark about the Prime Minister's personal appearance for which, upon reflection, I apologise."

The funniest thing was watching Fiona Bruce on the 6pm news trying to keep a straight face, whilst saying.....''jermey clarkson has apologised for calling the PM a one-eyed-scottish idiot'......her cheek bones must have been almost cracking, and her eyebrow couldn't get any higher. I can just imagine her thinking ''cut to the clip, cut to the damn clip'' :-)

I wish I'd seen that, Fiona Bruce was pretty cool on TG
The funny thing is, that if those people had kept their trap shut no one would have remembered that comment and things would have been fine. Now however that comment is quoted in every news broadcast, tabloid, radio and so on. Now we won't forget it for quite some time to come. And that prooves the point that politicians are mostly idiots because they should have anticipated what would happen if they start making an elephant out of an ant
Good on them ....... bunch of planks.

So, I'm still struggling to find out what she said wrong, it all sounded bang on to me.
Personally I think he should get off the fence and say what he really means, dressing it up in nice language like that only allows us to vaguely gauge what Clarkson thinks.

IT'S THE FRONT PAGE STORY OF THE SCOTSMAN!!1!!one What the ****?
Today's front page is on the scandal of how Clarkson has apologised for making comments on Brown's appearance, but not for saying he's scottish.
"he did not apologise for his gratuitous inclusion of "Scottish" in his remarks. Critics said there was only one reason why the Englishman included the PM's nationality in his diatribe.
Last night, the BBC had still not responded to accusations of tacit racism by insisting they accepted Clarkson's apology and consider-ed the matter closed."
"Asked if this meant the BBC tacitly condoned Clarkson's description of Mr Brown as "Scottish" and "an idiot", she added: "He has apologised in full, and we have got no further comment to make."
I might go and burn their offices down, who's with me? I'm fairly sure he really is scottish you know.

I find it rather telling that so many people are getting upset on behalf of Brown. In fact, anyone who gets so easily offended as many seem to do so in the brave new world in which we live.
What the hell is wrong with these people, how stupid can you get? Making a huge deal about it is akin to running off and telling teacher, lining yourself up to have your lunch money taken from you the next day for being a snitch. If you hold such contempt for someone as they do for Clarkson, ignore them ffs! I thought most people learned how to deal with being called nasty names before the age of 10 :?
