...which arn't totaly representative of the music you normally listen to
Yesterday I brought foo fighter's excellent Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, and also Linkin Park's Minutes To Midnight. I'm so glad I did, and not another heavy metal album with storming riffs, double-bass drums and face melting solo's. These albums are brilliant...and pretty differant to what I would normaly buy
soooo
have you brought any albums recently which arn't totaly in line with the rest of your cd collection?

Prodigy - Experience when it came out led to a mellowing of my tastes from being a thrash metal/hardcore punk nazi.:)
D/L'd the new version recently and its still stunning when played loud.

Can someone tell me how you buy albums??
Can someone tell me how you buy albums??
You go to the bank, withdraw ten english pounds of your hard earned wages and pop into HMV. Or you can pay 80p per track on iTunes. Or you can illegally download them.
The happy medium is mp3fiesta.com, it costs £1 per album.
Cough... torrents? cough

I bought Lupe Fiasco - The Cool... all based on track (go go gadget flow) which i thought was cool. I still like it, but the rest of the album doesn't really grab me :p

I was thinking of getting some of her stuff. She seems like a right fruit.
Her cover of Slayer's Raining Blood is very odd, but i really like it. And until the other day i'd never heard of the original professional widow.
But for me, Seasick Steve. Not sure if it really is unusual for me, my tastes wander a bit, but i like it.

Yeah exactly. Thats a proper cover. Nothing like the original.
What i find funny is that a petite lady covers a powerful heavy metal band's song, and makes it so much more haunting. I love it.

I heard that years ago and dismissed it as NOT being a cover of the Slayer song , I may have to go back and listen again .
Normal music....MANOWAR / Slayer / Acid Reign and Skindred
Currently new albums (new to me anyway)
Hybrid - Wide Angle, Kate Rusby - Awkward Annie and I like that 'Version' covers album with various artists
Can someone tell me how you buy albums??
You visit amazon, Look up what you want, buy the cheapest version, wait for it to arrive, stick it on your hardrive then dump the CD in a box for when your HDD dies and you realise you really should have backed it up...
